I like MKG but he can't shoot. It is pretty imperative with our pgs that our 3 (and preferably our 4) can hit the 3.

Trade checker 6416073 Okafor and his insurance payments and your 17th pick for Gordon,Adrien, and our 27th pick. You guys get a great 3 point shooter and above average rebounder and still have 3 picks 22,27,30 to trade up in 2014 draft. Gordon and Adriens contracts are expiring yet they give you bench depth for the playoff run both offensively and defensively.

OR

Trade Checker 6416079 Okafor, his insurance payments,Gerald Green and your 17th pick for Gordon,Henderson, and our 27th pick.

OR
Trade Checker 6416092 Okafor,his insurance payments,Gerald Green,Alex Len , and your 17th pick for Gordon,MKG, and BIZ

It would be worth making the call just to see what Cho/MJ might consider.

I don't see any of these trades ideas as being beneficial to the Suns at all. Pass. Sorry.

DraftExpress now has us taking Nik Stauskas and Zach LaVine with the Washington pick and our own.

I would be quite pleased if this happened, not knowing looking at it or knowing what is still available.

He's my man. Been pimping him since early last year. However, that block by O'Bryant III on Poythress last night was insane. Youtube the highlights (UK vs. LSU) if you haven't seen it yet.

Very low motor carey, and probably stuck between positions. Can we stop drafting underachieving/mediocre Kentucky players?

There are combinations of factors. His team is actually very good, smart and skilled players that play well in their system and work well together. McDermott is the clear leader and star of the team, but everything on the team works well with him, augment his talent, and he does the same for everyone else. McDermott is a stud and will be a very successful player for a long time in the NBA to whatever team believes in him and puts the climate around him to be successful. Every team knows that he is the man on the team and have to gun to stop him, but the entire team can make you pay if your entire strategy is to stop him. He and Creighton are showing everyone that they are not just a great mid-major, the are showing that they can outplay the big boys night in and night out too.

That's a terrific breakdown of Creighton, but I would expect nothing less from you.

Wally Alphabets was a starter for a long time, and a very good one too. But your concern is legitimate. I think you and any NBA team has a right to be concerned about McDermott on the defensive end. But he is so good offensively (and pretty good on the boards) that I would still take a chance on him, and hope that he the coaching staff can help him figure it out on the other end of the floor.

Did we start? Someone besides Goodwin?

Goodwin is enough for me.

I agree, I think he'll be able outscore his defensive deficiencies. At worst he's a very good bench shooter/floor spacer. I think he'd be a great addition. Also, I was a Wally fan, I wasn't using that comparison as a negative. Just similar size, great shooters, limited athletes.

Any Kentucky guy not named Randle, Cauley-Stein, or Young doesn't interest me.

I used to be high on Young, but I've become luke warm on him at this point. I was higher on Cauley Stein too. Randle scares me a little bit as a high pick. He finally went against nba sized guys last night and didn't look so good. Adreian Payne shut him down pretty well earlier in the year too.

It all depends on where these guys are. I'm not terribly high on Poythress, but at 30 or so, he'd be worth it. Young, who I thought would be a good late lotto pick, would probably be ok in the 20s.

Otherwise I kind of feel like this whole Kentucky team is underachieving, just like last year's that had Goodwin, Poythress and Cauley Stein. Two of those guys still there with the 5-6 highly touted recruits and they are still struggling.

As for McDermott, I like him as a bench guy that can come in and hit threes and maybe get hot and help you make a run when needed.

All he does is shoot, and this year, he isn't hitting shots. That's a problem. I couldn't make an argument to draft him.

I was just saying those are the only decent prospects they've got IMO. I think Cauley-Stein will be a good pro with better coaching, he's got some Noah in his game.

I know. I wasn't knocking you for mentioning him; I was just giving my general take on Young to this point.

They all need work, a lot of work. There are very few plug and play guys this year.

I think Randle could come in and start for a number of NBA teams and be productive. He's not going to be 20/10 right from the start, but I think he'll be productive.

Wiggins super solid tonight. Thought about starting a thread about this, but wondering if most fans would rather:

Get into the playoffs and lose in six in the first round but have a nice series that was great to watch

or

Barely miss the playoffs, win the lottery, and add Wiggins to the team as our wing to play with this crew.

Now, before you take this question into consideration, I realize the odds are extremely slim that IF we didn't make the playoffs that we would have such a slim chance of winning the lottery, that under normal circumstances, 99% of us would take the playoffs,

but consider the question at hand, not the likelihood that missing the playoffs may not net us much of a player.

For the record, I have felt Wiggins has been really over hyped, but tonight he looked spectacular.

Shoot, I would choose barely missing the playoffs even if it just netted us the second or third pick in the draft. That's a no-brainer, IMHO.

PJ Hairston scored 45 points in a D-League game tonight.
