Yea I dont believe that either. I didnt mind The Rock winning the belt, Batista is nowhere near The Rock's iconic status in this industry.

I hope Lesnar remains in the title scene. Brock & Heyman are gold. Just the perfect duo. I actually do hope he wins the belt sometime soon but i highly doubt it.

Brock Lesnar vs. Batista vs. Randy Orton

Sheamus will join the Wyatts & demolish Daniel Bryan & John Cena with the Wyatt family. Setting up the Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan match & the John Cena vs Bray Wyatt match.

The plan right now is Cena, Bryan, Sheamus, Orton, Batista, and Del Rio.

Also reading that Bryan may win at EC because of the WWE Network. More eyeballs. Hope that's the case.

Makes sense. They've probably decided to change plans in regards to the Main Event storyline.
They didn't expect the fans to turn on Batista at RR.

They'll have Daniel Bryan win at EC & Randy Orton trigger his rematch at WM30 turning the match into a triple threat match, involving Batista.
Batista will win though & turn heel by obviously aligning himself with Triple H, the Authority & maybe even have the 2 leftover members of the Shield close by after Roman Reigns turn on them.

As far as the participants go for the Elimination Chamber, I doubt Batista is in that match. He's already solidified his spot in the Main Event for the title at WM30, would just be a wasted spot since the people would know that the Royal Rumble winner won't win the title before his shot at WM30.

I think the last 2 members in the EC will definitely be Bray Wyatt & Brock Lesnar. 100% sure.
The Wyatts have to continue their storyline with John Cena, who is in the match.

Brock Lesnar destroyed the Rhodes brothers for not getting a title shot or Batista, so it makes total sense to have him put into the match to create havoc.

Batista will most likely have a warm-up singles wrestling match with the obvious choice, Alberto Del Rio.

Storyline or not, it's so ironic to me how the "The Authority" does not feel that Daniel Bryan should be the face of the company. If you were to consult both current and prospective shareholders, I have no doubt in my mind that most would feel that Daniel Bryan being the face of the WWE is what is in fact "best for business".

I believe it. WWE can do whatever they want. It's incentives in contracts. Batista is not nowhere near the Rock's level but he is a major player for WWE. His status outside of WWE is increasing slowly as well. He's in a marvel universe moving coming out later this year & in the Avengers 2. Was also in RZA's movie, the iron fists joint.

Batista was definitely scheduled to win the title as a face but WWE ruined his buzz by announcing his return.
Had Batista just showed up in the RR & won, the fans wouldn't have reacted so bad.
Would have been too busy shocked because last we heard from Batista before signing back was that he didn't like WWE's PG direction.

Word on the street is that they are starting to reconsider their position on Daniel Bryan. The Raw this Monday was rewritten last minute (source: wrestling observer) Daniel also tweeted that the wwe machine wanted him no where near the rumble. Call me skeptical, but it sure looks like it to me they're using social media and fan anger to work that into an angle as I hardly believe that Daniel would write anything negative about wwe on his twitter.

Well, guess I was wrong about Bray Wyatt being in the EC. Lol

Shield vs Wyatt family announced for EC.

Brock & CM Punk most likely candidates for remaining spots.

Wow

They better change this before the PPV & at least have Brock Lesnar put into the match by destroying 1 of the participants.

Weren't they hinting at Batista vs Lesnar at Elimination Chamber?

As in.. quit his job? Or are you referring to something else?

By the way, there are a bunch of reports that Sting has officially signed with WWE. There's a lot of doubt that he'll be wrestling Taker at Mania this year, though. Which is disappointing. They'll probably tease the match for next year either the night of Mania, or during the Monday Night Raw after Mania.

Not sure if he is actually done with the company, but according to reports he told Vince "Im going home".

Punk has been pulled from all upcoming live events.

I think Punk is probably pissed they handed Batista the main event at 'Mania. Punk has always wanted to headline it. I remember he was pissed when The Miz got to headline 'Mania against Cena one year, probably wasnt a fan of The Rock doing it back to back years as he was a part-timer, and now they are doing it again with Batista. I know for a fact Punk isnt behind the idea of part-time wrestlers coming back getting to headline wrestlemania over the full-time wrestlers. He said this last week or a couple weeks ago in an interview.

I wonder if this is a work. WWE will be losing a lot of fans if Punk really did end up quitting.

Punk should of played it cool until his contracts ends later this year. He has been rewarded many times in his WWE career. Someone like Ziggler, you can understand walking away but Punk should know better. This is coming from a big Punk fan. I guess he feels left out. Maybe he just needs some time off.

No its legit CM Punk is fragile...They are always walking on egg shells to appease him.
He kind of lives up to his name "Punk".

With that said I don't blame him for quitting.

Getting back into it kinda. I have to say, I LOVE the Wyatt Family and their boss theme song. Probably the most interesting thing in the WWE right now to me.

What a huge clusterf*ck of a situation this is

-Punk leaving
-Bryan not in Rumble
-Batista supposedly a babyface getting booed like he's the biggest heel in WWE

Is it just me or has anyone else expected Bryan not to be in the Rumble when entrant number 20 came out?

I dunno if you watched that promo with a bunch of superstars talking about the Rumble before it started but if you have, you'll notice that among those superstars that did the promo, Jey Uso (23), Ryback (26), Mysterio (30) and Batista (28) hasn't come out yet. It was also mentioned by Cole that Wyatts were in the Rumble and at that point Harper (22) and Rowan (25) hasn't come out yet too. Cesaro (21) was also slotted since Swagger was in the Rumble too and Del Rio (29) was there for Batista. All the spots that were left for appearance were JBL's and Big E Langston's

tldr, by the time 20 came out, I knew Bryan wasn't going in

Regardless, I was pretty disappointed by that + Batista winning it. Those last 10 spots should've been reserved for some returning stars like Christian, Y2J, Undertaker or hell even Jake The Snake

I mean seriously, Mysterio at 30? Really?'

PS. I see Ziggler still gets mad love from the crowd. What a huge pop for him in the Rumble

CM Punk has a right to be pissed off man... He came up in the business the hard way and believes in rewarding hard work. Can you imagine busting your ass all year to see your promotion go to a guy that came back from an 8 month or year vacation. Punk has a right to say F this crap because I m not your tramp Mcmahon.

Punk is an idiot for not understanding that this company doesn't cater to mature audiences anymore. The money is where the kids is at. Every time the kids flip on Nick or Cartoon Network John Cena is in a commercial, the video game commercial, or the toys commercial. They want these kids to get their parents to buy in.

Kids don't understand the meaning of straight edge. They don't vibe with those long epic rants like we do. They want Cena to say "IM GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT" and win every match. The WWE wants to profit. Batista is in a Disney movie? AIGHT lets make that paper work.

I wish Punk was the face of the company but I understand why he isn't. I hope he takes what ever time he needs off to heal up and gets back in the ring soon. He is one of my favorites and I hope it works out for him.

Punk seems pretty burnt out tbh. He's one of my favorites but he's been sloppy in matches, bit out of shape and looks uninterested recently. Let him take time off. Have him regain his fire

I wouldn't be against him leaving for a year or two. Then come back and have a one year run possibly winning the title and retire

How I would rebook Batista's return is to NOT advertise him in an upcoming show. Keep his return as a secret. Have him appear the RAW after Mania interrupting someone doing a promo like Cena or Orton or Heyman/Brock and he beats the **** out of them

Right now though, they should turn him heel ASAP. WWE would be dumb to go against the flow and keep him babyface while he's booed relentlessly
