This one is on Wittman fair and square
Down the stretch Randy hacked Jordan but also had Seraphin in.
I think starters expect to finish games.

Huh? You must be kidding me. WTF was he supposed to do? Make layups and 3s for a tired team?
We didn't need to go hack a DJ. Wittmans decision

The Wizards need two of the three shooters to bring it to beat a good team. It honestly doesn't matter whether the bigs play well or not. Beal brought it; Ariza and Webster didn't.

Wittman is too dense to put Gortat back in. He is a dog house coacj.

Didn't think he needed to put him back in. Seraphin was playing well enough.
Fair point. Seraphin and even Temple got them back in this game.
I just hate the lack of rebounds when Nene and Seraphin are playing together.
80sballboy, you are right that KS played well.

Refs made it IMPOSSIBLE to get a W, when a team shoots that many free throws, its pretty much over from the start.

Jumpshooting teams that play below the rim can't complain when the refs don't call fouls.

How is this Whitman's fault? Our wings, mostly Ariza and Webster, missed a bunch of wide open looks, we had a ton of stupid fouls on jumpers, and Crawford and Reddick made some absolutely abogus shots. Those saying Gortat should have been in for Seraphin are obviously trying to make complaints up...Gortat blew all game. Refs didn't help us much this game (not that I blame them for those three point fouls) but at this point the team has to expect to get drubbed by the refs. Sucks but we just don't get many 50/50 calls and Wall and Nene are hacked all night long with little to show for.

Yep. Ariza missed a clutch three and he committed two costly fouls.
If he or Webster hit threes this probably is a win.

What a crappy ending. We came back with good D and they were nervous so I didn't think threw was any reason to hack Jordan when only down 3. Witt tried to play Beal at the exactly same time Wall went out but it backfired because you then break his rhythm at the most crucial time when you gave to bench him mid 4th when he's red hot. Most of all I think he sat Wall way too long in the 4th. Temple was horrible giving up open 3's or fouling guys on 3's. The game is there for the taking so bring Wall back with 8min left and I'd rather it be 9min

Re: GT #45: Bullets (22-22) @ Clippers (32-15) 10:30 PM CSN
The BBall Gods weren't having us get over .500 tonight. 3-22 from three when almost all of them were open looks. Brutal. Under 60% from the FT line on the few attempts we managed to get didn't help either.
They played hard but they were worn down.
But big picture, when Wall and Beal play like they did tonigh (sans the bad three point shooting), you can see a preview of a really good team in the future. We're as far away as them (mostly Beal) becoming more consistent night to night.
It wasn't our night. And it's not going to be our year. But we've made strides.

Keynote, this game is not the one to play the ole "jump shooting teams don't get calls" for two reasons. One because we outscored them by at least 10 points in the paint and Los Angeles was shooting Js all night save a stretch by Griffin and some alley oops to Jordan.

I made the Gortat comment. I don't put the loss on Randy. I think he bruises egos.
No, CntOutSmrtCrazy, you are right about refs and Ariza.
Randy would have looked smart if DJordan missed.
Beal missed two FTs. He was great mostly, but he missed a three also.
I am not mad about the loss.
They played hard and pretty well against a good team.
Give Wittman credit for doubling Griffin--without Gortat in the game. I apologize.
Jordan deserves credit and so do Riddick and Crawford.

3 of 13 from trey from our small forwards ain't gonna cut it. Thing about tonight is they got some really solid looks. Not a big surprise though, those two have been slumping all month, especially Ariza.
On another note am I the only one who hasn't liked Webster's body language and attitude lately? There was a timeout versus GS the other night were Cassel was trying to give him some advice after a bad foul and it seemed like Webster copped an attitude. But besides that if his shot hasn't been falling he's been useless and a big negative. Early in the season he was rebounding well, playing good defense, and being active. But his play as of late has been lazy and careless. He doesn't go for loose balls and he is making some horrible TOs. I really like Webster and hope he's just in a slump or he's conserving himself a bit.

Nene is moving well. Seraphin looked comfortable. Booker made a solid effort. Temple was more than solid than bad. Wall looked like a superstar in the third. Beal once again dominated in the fourth.
With calls going against, down 15 in the third, Griffin at his best, JJ Reddick and Jamal Crawford hitting ...
Washington still made it very tight.
