I was going to recommend we create another Emeka Okafor thread. I'd shoot for 5.

The twins are criminally underrated on this board.

Honestly, I don't really care if it is the Lakers or any other team who gets help while trading with the Suns, as long as it makes sense for Phoenix.

Jordan Hill sounds nice because he rebounds and is athletic, but that's not the skillset I am looking for right now. If that was the case, I would have tried Toronto and Amir Johnson before they decided they want to win now.

Can you S&T an UFA?

Yes.

Are you 100% certain? I'm thinking no because of the Keith Van Horn situation. I thought they changed it so you couldn't.

Let him expire. Why trade for players that limit us in free agency this summer. Len and the Morris twins should get more respect here.

This enfatuation with Gasol is silly. He is TOO old!

Yes, one of them is having a decent season and the other one is having a great season.

The Keith Van Horn situation has nothing to do with unrestricted free agency. The problem that arose from that situation is whether a team could S&T a player during the season that wasn't playing for them. That has been remedied. There are restrictions on S&T deals during the season, and when one of your free agents hasn't played for your team over an extended period of time. Also, there are stipulations on contract length when a player is S&T.

Combined they are having a good season, especially considering where they are coming from, but I don't think anyone is underrating them.

At this point we all know what they do and what they don't, and what's their impact on the team and its surprising success.

Thinking that they could be traded, or that the should under certain conditions, doesn't take anything away from what they're doing so far.

Not really. Marcus is a decent role player, and Markieff is developing into an effective 6th man. But with multiple picks and considerable cap space, the Suns have the tools to bring in better players. And unless you just want a cute first round exit team, the Suns need upgrade the talent on the team to build a contender. They can't do that and keep all the players from this team at the same time. From the players that are available in the draft, the Suns can bring in better rebounding, scoring, and shooting, than what the Twins give. It's that simple.

KVH and Mckie issue whas that they were unofficially retired at the time the trade was made, so their teams still had their bird rights. The new CBA, among other restrictions, doesn't allow a sign and trade when the player didn't finish the season on your roster.

I dont know what to think of the Morri. They've both certainly made quite the leap this year but I think its a leap from complete rubbish to quality role player. Overall their offense has been quality, especially Markieff, although they are both wildly inconsistent. But their rebounding and defense is not near what is acceptable for an every day starter on a serious playoff team.

I'm thrilled that they've managed to become useful but I'd absolutely be willing to ship them off for a legit starting forward.
