I think a S&T Lowry and 2015 1st (lottery protected)/2016 Knicks 1st for Irving this off-season might have some legs if the Cavs want to shake up their roster based on how this season has gone in terms of issues/chemistry.

Cavs can use 1 of the picks to help get rid Jack to free up more cap space to re-shape roster.

To this Jazz-fan, Irving looks like the Al Jefferson of PGs. I would not build å team around him and certainly not give up most of our assets for him.

The kyrie for wiggins trade I liked. CLE gets fresh rookie contract while lakers can afford to pay kyrie and get a more developed player to attract love and Anthony

Seems every fan wants a trade that's interesting AND pain-free for his team. Every good trade is going to hurt. Can't have the pluses without the minuses.

That said, I think the Cavs should hold onto Irving and wait for him to grow up.

BUT, since this thread asks for an offer, maybe ORL, if they draft Embiid, could offer Vucevic and Oladipo.
Oladipo and Waiters match up pretty well: Oladipo is a 2 defensively who runs the offense, while Waiters is a 1 defensively who is a scoring guard on offense. Vucevic needs no explanation.
ORL gets a dominant PG to pair with a potentially dominant Center. They'd fill the 2 most important and difficult-to-find positions.

The point is: Jazz need an all star. They can get one in this year draft? I don't think so, since the core is playing better and better. Suggesting this trade, Jazz can keep Kanter, Favors and Hayward (or Burks) and add Kyrie. Jazz shoul add a SF from free agency (Deng would be great) and suddenly Jazz become a playoff team in the wild west conference. This team can evolve to a contender in 2 or 3 years.

And obviously, Jazz can take Jarret Jack back in this trade.

if he really wants out and you need to trade him i dont think this is the worst offer. Dwill is under contract 4 years, so you'd be getting a PG who you dont need to worry about leaving. Lopez if you have the bad contracts to send back might be worth the gamble.

Funny. I was on here at end of last year saying we needed to move Kyrie because I didn't like what I was seeing and I was killed for what I would accept back for him. Ha. Now the offers are much less and you guys are saying it is too much.

We should have traded him last year at absolute peak value.

I would still trade him for quite a few of these offers.

I wouldn't confuse Realgm offers for what it would actually take to pry Irving away from the Cavaliers. If the Cavs would start a bidding war, I suspect that some of the offers exceed what has been thrown around here. Kyrie next to another alpha would be formidable. But I have come to the conclusion that he does need to play next to another dominant player who can take some of the pressure off and who has the gravitas to but a foot in his but when he starts pouting. My preference would that the Cavs try to obtain one of those players. If they can't, you will be surprised at how much better Kyrie will be in another system next to a true star.

Take the Top-5 protection off. Hayward is a FA, Burke isn't anything amazing, and the 2017 GSW 1st doesn't have a ton of value.

Lowry is a 27 year old boarderline all star (in his best season) who's about to be a UFA this offseason while Irving is a 21 year old two time all star with another year before reaching RFA. The value gap is significant due to age, talent level and contracts, certainly more than Ross or the NYK 16 pick and likely both.

Why would Lowry be part of any deal? Cleveland could trade Irving for a package that doesn't include a PG and then just sign Lowry for BIG money next season if they love him so much.

Again, people aren't understanding.

1. No trades for 2014 Free Agents

2. No trades for stars currently in their prime

3. If your team has a potential Top-5 2014 pick and you are NOT offering it, it is insulting

4. Cleveland is not trading Kyrie for even $.70 on the dollar

Look at what the Jazz got for Williams and Kyrie is in a better position than Williams was in when Utah traded him. Kyrie right now is as young as D-Will was when he was a rookie. Kyrie still has 2 years left under rookie control.

I really think the only way Cleveland deals Kyrie is if we are getting a Top-5 pick back AND we have a Top-7 pick of our own. That would allow Cleveland to really go after a re-building plan and I think a team that has Wiggins-Smart or Parker-Exum actually would increase ticket sales locally.

The best possible outcome is for Cleveland to get a Top-3 pick and then deal Kyrie for a 2nd pick in the Top-3. I could see Cleveland trading Kyrie and even a guy like Waiters for a Top-3 pick in this loaded class if the Cavaliers have an additional Top-3 pick to pair him with.
