I see tons of people praising the guy. but i really dont think he was this unreal fantastic commissioner. he did alot of the league early on, especially moving the league awya from the perception of being a bucnh of druggies/junkies as it was back in the 70's. Also what he did to make the NBA a global brand.

But damn, basically all his dirt was swept under the rug completely.

I mean, he had an official convicted on felony charges for gambling on/fixing/unfluencing outcomes. and he basically ignored it and disregarded criticism for it. He should thank his lucky stars mike vick got caught for the dog thing like a week later.

not only did he not put a probe into donoghy, he didnt fired or get rid of 1 other official or put in an internal or 3rd party investigtion into the other officials. this is mind boggling to me, especially after reading donoghy's book(sure take it with a grain of salt, but to think the others are/were all clean is idiotic).

Then there is the fight in detroit with the pacers and pistons, seattle losing their franchise, turning his back on drug testing after what MLB went through, rule changes to promote stars instead of teams.

he has done a ton of harm to the league
