It was key to see the play in progress. With 6sec left, it wouldn't have been wrong for Ross to just pull the ball out for the last shot. And with Faried there. So for Ross to be the only one in the world who knew he could not just score, but dunk there, was special. And even as he took off, everyone thought he was just trying to draw contact. Not dunk.

I agree, and not only that, the play right before that, Faried blocked Amir on a break away. Then Amir pokes the ball and Ross going for that dunk made that much better. The only thing that would make this dunk better would be if Ross dunked it harder.

The dunk was impressive because Faried bodied Ross in the air and for him to maintain his balance air borne and cock that ball behind his head was insane. I thought Ross was going to miss that dunk when he had Faried sized up then bam he just crammed that. That's what made it such a great dunk.

Yeah, seeing it live, there was a surprise element that's hard to recreate. Also, on the Denver feed they showed a slow-motion version that shows you everything Ross did while he was up there. He did everything but make a sandwich before falling back to earth.

Hard to tell in the video, but did he actually make contact with the rim or was it one of those Blake Griffin throw in dunks?

If he actually touched the rim it's a solid 8.8/10 dunk

If he did a Blake Griffin style one it's a 4/10.

LeBron's posters on Ben McLemore and Paul Millsap weren't that impressive since both times his defender were trying to draw a charge making it easier to gather and jump over. Same with Blake's poster on Kris Humphries. Ross' dunk was done with a higher degree of difficulty having to contort his body so that alone gives him the best poster so far.
