let's break it down like this. he was coming at the defender fast, took off from a nice distance, really extended his body with the right arm all the way behind, slam it down very fast that manimal couldnt touch it. Great treat for a faptors fan. not to mention the bench reaction its so rare to have such funny moment

If you slow it down you'll get a better look and notice he had good grip on the ball and shifted mid-air to get it around Manimal's arms.........

USA Basketball has announced that Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets has been removed from the Senion Men's national program. Filling out the 28-man roster is the Toronto Raptors' Terrence Ross.

It's even more impressive from that angle when you see he finished that dunk with a lot of room to spare too

If he actually touched the rim it's a solid 8.8/10 dunk

If he did a Blake Griffin style one it's a 4/10.

He got full hand and flew past the rim, he had room to spare easy.

Gonna have to disagree with you there. Greatest dunk of the season? Certainly not, but it could definitely be a contender for top 10 of the year. Unfortunately the speed in which it happened will likely dictate otherwise. Look at that still shot. Sometimes a picture truly does say 1,000 words. Huge dunker vs. huge dunker/solid shot blocker. Heck, he had to readjust after getting a little bump. It happened in the open court as opposed to traffic in the lane so it may not garner the approval of the aficionados on this board, but that was more impressive than most can fathom.

I give it a solid 10/10 with some of the greatest being 11/10. Anyone who thinks that that is an average dunk in transition needs to put down their controller and re-evaluate their thoughts on basketball.

It will make top 10 of the season but I feel it is definitely top 3
Faried was really trying to contest that while the Lebron dunks are more like a victim just standing in the key and then you got PG doing the 360 up there as well
