I'm not a fan of being absolutely horrible.

I get the logic, but I'm not a fan.

I prefer to "wait in the weeds" being competitive (win or lose) while keeping salaries low, keeping flexibility.

I believe in preserving the integrity of the Laker aura.

I love that in the past, whether we were winning or losing, ALL PLAYERS in the league knew that the Lakers were a quality organization that embodied class.

This season, coupled with the departure of Howard, seems to diminish that aura.

I'll eat my words if they bounce back properly.

But, unlike others on this board, my faith in this front office does not run very deep.

Time will tell.

You have to understand that we are not blatantly tanking. We have had a lot of injuries this year that are out of our control.

Every team ahead of us in the tankathon lost last night. They were leading in the 4th quarter too and all ended up losing. Today is another tough matchup for most of the teams in the lottery race

Of course the Kings and Jazz had to lose too. Lakers suck, the problem is everyone else does also. A small winning streak would mean a place near the end of the lottery. I really hope Kobe is done for the year.
