Greg Smith's Health

Post#1 » by ChokeFasncists » Thu Jan 30, 2014 11:26 am

Anyone knows what happened? He injured his knee, then came back, played several games, then banged knees with Parsons, then there's no news, any updates?? We could really use him or Asik to spell D12, who is not 100% IMO and when he gets into foul trouble. He could also provide some continuity from last season's big men rotation.

Would to have Smith back but Motie has been surprisingly good in playing the 5 off the bench. But the depth would be a blessing

It's a curious thing. There is very little info about his injury. Parsons came back so fast as well. You get the feeling Smith would be back if he had a bigger role. D-Mo has played well as of late, but I think a Smith/D-Mo frountcourt would be a strong bench unit to run with Lin and Casspi (I really like Casspi, he definitely makes the most of his minutes).

That was one ugly fall, hope it hasn't turned into something worse, let's hope it's the banging knee with Parsons that's keeping him out for a little bit.

Goddammit! Greg is given the scrub treatment here?

Rockets guard James Harden is questionable for Saturday’s game against Cleveland. He has missed the last two games with a bruised left thumb. He got the injury last Saturday in a loss to Memphis.

Harden went through practice on Friday and said he was feeling much better. He said he and the trainers would reevaluate his playing status on Saturday after shootaround.

Francisco Garcia also practiced on Friday and coach Kevin McHale said his knee was still sore.

“I am being very careful with (Garcia),” McHale said. “We will have to see. He was in some pain.”

Centers Omer Asik and Greg Smith did not practice and there were no updates on their knee injuries.

Major bummer for this young player. I think this happened when he banged knees with Parsons just as he was getting back to the floor.
