Yeah I responded to you on the GB. I like it. Paul Allen has $ and would go into the LT with ease to keep Moose. Not sure if Portland does it though. I'm personally really high on Batum though (along with K. Leonard). He's really one of the only guys I'd trade Moose for.

I saw that, thank you.

This is what i wrote to as why…

"Lopez has been fine, but we are still awful with our interior defense. Also, Monroe is a VERY talented prospect. We would lack a SF, the trade i created had SIngler in there. Steep drop off from Batum, but i would imagine it wouldn't play as much of a role as an addition like Monroe would. Wings are much easier and affordable to come by.

Lopez is not a starting C on a true contender IMO. Monroe could be. Lopez coming off the bench, with LMA, seems like one of the best front courts in the league.

Also, scoring in the paint has been an issue for us. LMA and Monroe seems like a great fit."

So if you think he's going to get there, why side with Smoove who then becomes redundant? Instead we could build a dynasty with Monroe's deficiencies being masked by Andre. There isn't a better high post passing big man in the league right now outside of Kevin Love.

Feel free to expand on why you think he can play the 4? What has he shown to constitute the opinion that he can be successful as a power forward in this league? Like I have said a few times in this thread. Monroe is a very talented center but specifically regarding him playing the 4, he is too slow, cannot guard opposing 4's at all, lacks ANY range that can space the floor, turns the ball over a ton, and isn't a very good finisher.

The guy can play, but his strengths scream 'I'm a center!'

Monroe has shown that he can knock down jumpers, and his jumper has improved compared to last season. It might not be a consistent jumper, but that will come in time. Monroe's shown he can play decent on-ball defense. A lot of people hate on Monroe's defense, but he's a decent on-ball defender. Just because he's a bad help defender and he doesn't block shots doesn't mean he can't stay in-front of his man during one-on-one scenario's. Monroe has shown that he might be slow, but he's a crafty player, and that's why we have Drummond and Smith to help out. The only flaw that he clearly needs to improve on is his turn-overs. I agree with you on that one.

Monroe is putting up 14pts and 9rebs while playing next to two freak athletes. Lets keep that in mind.

While also sporting a mediocre record with questions of how the big 3 fit. It's interesting that L. Frank and now Cheeks tries to play Drumroe as little as possible together. I want this team to improve, like today, and I believe the best trade chip we have, not named Drummond, is Monroe.

I agree he can play both positions but not in the starting lineup and isnt worth the contract he will get.If we were able to get him on a nice contract then I would be happy to keep him,but smith is the better fit and because monroe is due his contract the front office dosent want to do anything to make him upset and so instead of bringing him off the bench and sliding smith to the 4,our team is suffering for it.

Monroe off the bench?

I'll agree to disagree on the Monroe/Smith power forward topic! Cheers!

Remember we have the youngest starting 5 in the league right now. So having a mediocre record and chemistry problems with our big 3 isn't too farfetched.

We have smith who is the better pf between moose and himself and better next to dre,so if moose were to stay he would be better used off the bench as a c.

When Smith is close to the hoop, his game is nice. Get a coach in there with some balls. Monroe is a Center.
