Ehh, I'd rather be blown out in the Super Bowl than lose in the last seconds.

I also would rather have my team in the Superbowl and lose than not to be in it, but the Broncos didnt just lose, they got blown out, and to be a broncos fan would not have been fun yesterday.

A lot of people were talking about the Packers like this after we won the Super Bowl. Jaws in particular was saying that we were set up to be a dynasty.

Then a few guys get hurt, a few guys get old, a few guys decline and you give a few guys a huge payday... and it sets in that dynasties aren't a real thing in the NFL.

Did anyone else feel like MM was coaching the Broncos last night? I couldn't believe how conservative they were the entire game, but particularly in the second half. They punted at around the 50 yard line late in the 3rd quarter when they were done 3+ scores. At some point you have to try to do something to change the course of the game. Whether it be some kind of trick play, fake punt, etc. But they just continued to run the ball up the middle for two yards and throw little dink passes across the middle for 3 or 4 yards. I was absolutely stunned. Not that I thought very highly of John Fox to begin with, but I lost a lot of respect for him last night. He'll forever be known as an above average coach, but not one that can get you over the hump.

The expectation levels of some fans are beyond absurd, the NFL is a league of parity. In the last 10 years we have had 8 different teams win the Super Bowl. It is hard to win a Super Bowl.

No, I didn't feel like MM was coaching the Broncos last night for the reasons you jut listed.

Turnovers and big plays often decide playoff or Super Bowl games. Between the turnovers in the first half, including a pick six and the kickoff return, Denver was toast. Seattle barely had to blitz, they consistently got pressure just rushing four and with their stud secondary, that was a death sentence for the Broncos passing game. Plus, Seattle's linebackers were fabulous.

For as much as offense gets the attention in football, i think i heard a stat saying that in the 15 Super Bowls where the top rated defense played, they were 12-3. Seattle has playmakers littered all through that defense and they simply dominated the Denver offense. Besides Matthews and maybe Shields, there likely isn't another Packer who could start on the Seattle defense and even some of their backups are really talented.
