Did we ever decide on the prospect draft order? I know there was some talk about a lottery.

Well, we always do a lottery for the prospect draft, you mean a weighted lottery?

It's the FA draft that just goes by waiver order.

If people want to change the format I'm all ears.

I think for the prospect draft, we can do a lottery based on standings. Basically split twelve teams into three groups based on regular season standings (teams 12-9 getting picks 1-4, etc) and do a lottery for each group.

Or something like that, which is what I believe we mentioned last year, I just was too lazy to find the thread.

Yep, that will work. FFDL does the following
Winner = 0 balls, so basically picks last.
All other playoff teams = 1 ball
(Top) non-playoff teams = 3 balls
Bottom 3&4 = 5 balls
Bottom 1&2 = 8 balls

Not too sure about how this would work for replacement managers though. If it were a straight replacement like OldNo7 now, then it would be the previous manager's ranking ... but what happens if there are 2 replacements?

No better way to start the new fantasy baseball season off with anything other than a blockbuster--and that's just how it's going to be.

I have agreed to send SS Jean Segura, SS Chris Owings, and SP Julio Teheran to Insfo for CL Steve Cishek, CF Leonys Martin, and SP Max Scherzer.

Good doing business with you as always insfo! GL this season!

My keeper league uses the random sequence generator with the following

12th place receives 1-30, 11th place receives 31-55, 10th place receives 56-75, 9th place receives 76-90, 8th place receives 91-97, 7th place receives 98-100.

So when are we starting? Give us some dates to work with commish

1) Date for all teams to check in
2) Date to trim down rosters to 25
3) Date for picking lottery numbers / Lottery
4) Rookie Draft start
5) FA Draft start

Don't want to run into a situation like last year with overlapping drafts :)

Opening day is the 22nd with that series in Australia so I would hope we can get everything done before then.

CFan first checked in/posted on March 11th last year. So in that respect we are ahead  .. though he chose to ignore my question/request for dates :(
