MLB Network now available in Canada

Post#1 » by Waylon Mercy » Wed Jan 8, 2014 10:09 pm

For you guys that have Rogers Cable...

The MLB network is now in Canada on channel 415 in HD.
I didn't have to order it or anything it's already there could
be apart of the sports package or VIP Package or could be
a free preview but it launched today.

If you have Rogers in the Toronto area see if you have it on channel 415

Its not bad... quite similar to the NFL Network if you have that. I think the NFL Network is the gold standard - they have great day to day coverage. However, most of their personnel is very annoying but i do not see the MLB Network having that problem. Wont have to listen to guys like Warren Sapp and Michael Irvin yell and joke around - do not think the MLB Network has those type of guys. Though Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk do make up for Irvin and Sapp.

Watched about 5 minutes and i saw Fernando Rodney striking out Melky for a save, Price striking out Bautista, Nelson Cruz hitting a homer off of one of our pitchers and Alfonso Soriano hitting a homer off of a lefty on our team i think Happ. All at the Rogers Centre.

These were all separate segments; news reports about the M's signing Rodney, and hot stove reports about the Mariners signing Nelson Cruz and trading for Price if they are contending during the season. The Soriano clip was a random one.

I guess they just set up shop at the Rogers Centre and expect highlights against us. Quite random from me but very coincidental that it was my first 5 minutes watching the show.

I can't remember what the show is called, but the one with Chris Rose and former Blue Jay Kevin Millar is fantastic, IMO

Good dose of baseball + comedy.
