Wall was 2-7 on long 2s, Beal 2-12. So our vaunted backcourt was 4-19 on long 2s. This is why they are an average team. They shoot too many long 2s and shoot them poorly.

Just because they had a few wins against good teams doesn't mean they are better than their record. They are one game under .500 in a lousy conference. Mediocre

They are mediocre but the opportunity to be more is there. They just don't have the GM to make the right roster tweaks or the coach to get them there. Frustratingly, those two things are well within their control so their inability to fix it is that much more infuriating.

Regarding the longs 2s, I'm sure it coaching but when the lane is clogged it makes it easier to settle. What's disturbing is Beal is looking to settle and set up for a long two more often than not.

Im also sick of Gortat being so soft. Not talking about his diving layups after a screen and roll, but his little layups around the rim and on offensive putbacks are just too weak. He needs to go up with power. Put the hammer down.

He took one or two up soft. What was actually more problematic was when he tried to take one extra dribble before finishing. He have the defense a chance to recover. But he was 9-12 from the floor and did well on the boards yesterday. He wasn't the problem. The problem was how long Randy left him on the bench while he went with Seraphin.

Not sure why people are surprised. The team is fool's gold and we have a fool for a GM who has a mediocre coach leading it. I wouldn't be surprised if they get swept in Round 1 vs. teams with superior coaching and talent.

Fact is that talent wise the only thing really separating the Cavs from the Wizards is about a year of player development and continuity. As the Cavs have demonstrated they have the more productive bench.

Knocking off some top teams is a nice step for the Wiz, but they've been there in the past. The Wiz player's no doubt didn't take the Cavs' players seriously enough, but that's exactly what happens when the Wiz play better teams. So it doesn't really mean much until both sides are playing hard, and that may not happen until the playoffs.

Yes, I primarily follow the team I grew up with, but I've lived in the DC area for a long time and have seen and heard it all before.

I think Randy is right -- the team plays with high energy when things are going well and plays sluggishly when things are going poorly. That's why you get this randomness -- when they play with energy they can beat anybody. When they play sluggishly, anyone can beat them.

CLE got a ton of the 50-50 balls but I'm not sure it was necessarily because their effort was
higher. Sometimes it just bounces your way. OTOH, I think Waiters definitely wanted to make
a statement vs Beal. And the whole team wanted to make a statement after losing to LA and
a fouled out player. And their GM getting S#!+canned. Now they've won 2 in a row with a
W vs MEM. Still a game we arguably 'should' have won. On paper.
