I like Udonis Haslem as a player, and what he has done for the Miami Heat. Joel Anthony was a great ambassador of the sport as well. But in the new NBA system, is about salary space, and from the year 2014 to the 2015, Haslem will be earning $4,620.000. And he is not playing well. Also, he is getting older, and the Miami Heat needs a place in the team, to bring in a super star player. Now, about Carlos Boozer: he can sign for the minimum veteran salary, and that is $1.2 million. That my friend, is a huge difference.
Stats for Udonis Haslem:
PPG: 2.7, RPG: 2.8, BLKPG: 0.3 PER: 6.46
Position: Power Forward
Age: 33
Height: 6 ft 10 in (208 cm)
Weight: 235 lb (107 kg)
Stats for Carlos Boozer:
PPG: 14.8, RPG: 8.6, BLKPG: 0.4 PER: 14.60
Position: Power Forward
Age: 32
Height: 6 ft 9 in (206 cm)
Weight: 266 lb (121 kg)
And that is a big upgrade, for a quarter of the salary.
