Biz is worth a lot more than Bass and Hump, and we would lose cap space in that deal because Biz is 3million Bass is 6.5million so we lose 3.5million in cap and Hump is 12mill BG is 13.2 so we lose 1.2 in expiring contract , so overall we lose 4.7million in cap space (good bench player) and a high potential player (Biz) for two mediocre PF's

:onfire:   Wow this Bass trade could really help us this year and next.
I wonder if Boston would consider Trade Checker 6425074
Bass, Green, Bradley ,2014 2nd round pick for Hendo,Sess ,Mkg, and Haywood plus Portlands pick?

I'm not opposed to him, but I'd trade very little for him. Sessions would be too much.

Sessions contract expires and we will not resign him because he will get more money with somebody else.
The trade I proposed has Bradley/Pargo backing up Kemba with Cdr/Gordon/(JT on IR) at the 2, Green/Tolliver at the 3, Bass/MCBob/Cody at 4, Atrain/Biz/Adrien at 5. Now thats a 2013 6th seed in the East into the second round or deeper.

Your proposal makes us much worse defensively and a worse shooting team than we already are. No thank you

I would trade Zeller to the Celtics for Bass if they give us one of the couple 1st rounders they own which might be unlikely. I can dream.

We are going to play around and get our pockets picked for some other teams cast offs. How many years have we waited to use these picks and we are going to give them away for overpaid trash like Bass or Turner. I hope I'm wrong.

Bass is a better player than McRoberts. He's rated 92nd in the NBA in defensive points per possession compared to McRoberts at 266th. With 466 players so far this year in the NBA, Bass is in the 20th percentile whereas McRoberts is below average at the 57th percentile. BOS uses Bass to cover guys like Melo and LBJ. I can't imagine McRoberts covering power 3s like Bass does.

Bass is a slightly superior scorer ranking 121st in the NBA (26th percentile) compared to McRoberts at a 142nd ranking (30th percentile). Otherwise, Bass has a better PER, is clearly a better rebounder and clearly a lesser playmaker than McRoberts if that's something you need from a PF. Bass is available because there's a logjam at PF on the Celtics that they would have to resolve if they want to get more PT for Sullinger and Olynyk. I don't see a trade I like from my side and an expiring contract and a late 1st seem to be too little, but I'm not Danny Ainge. In any case, he's a decent upgrade from McRoberts.

One other thing, you don't want Big Baby. He was an addition by subtraction when he left the Celtics and everyone was happy to see him go. As it turned out, Bass was a better player too.

Good luck in the playoffs BTW. Always liked Big Al's game and he's finally geting some recognition playing on a decent team.

No to both but I've always liked Bass and I have no idea why!

Consumate pro though from everything I've seen and heard.

Could be worse but I hope it's better.

I share your concern. No need to make a move with a pick that doesn't really move the needle. Brandon Bass is a decent vet, but no real difference maker in the large scheme of things. Either make a big bold deal for a starter or wait for it....
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

what your stats don't show is that McRoberts is basically our 2nd point guard in the half court. And its not like our defense is bad. Even if Bass is a better man defender it doesnt necessarily mean that our team defense significantly
improve anyway, especially during the long period he would have to spend learning Clifford/teammates

Well this tells us all we need to know about the Bulls' demands for Taj Gibson. We have entered an entirely new tier. I bet the Bulls want the 1st from Detroit for Taj Gibson. F' them. They make it seem like they can easily just create cap space for Melo, well, they need an expiring RIGHT NOW to do that.

I also think this shows the lack of validity to any of the rumors. We are asking about everyone who might be available on the wing or at PF. The so called experts are saying we are looking to make moves but I think we are just asking around to see if we can get some help for cheap.

If we just need a wide body to bang and rebound just swap Ben Gordon for Kris Humphries (whose PER is higher than Bass' BTW). Rent Hump for a couple months to help "make the playoffs" then keep that beautiful cap space.

Cheap help? As in no change? Is this what you want or what you think will happen?
