Or, and I know this is a radical idea but, how about give Zeller's minutes to Adrien?

Adrien is so undersized and very limited offensively. At least Zeller makes Free Throws. I like Adrien, but he should be nowhere near the lineup

Adrien can score better than Zeller at the moment... It's hard for me to admit it, but Adrien > Zeller.

I actually never thought about this, but I would like to give Adrien some minutes, even if it means putting Zeller aside. I'm totally in the "making the playoffs" mind now.

Would you guys do this trade ?

Out: Haywood,Taylor,Pargo,Adrien, POR pick

In: Bass

Two players that are out for the year and two minor contracts plus late 1st. Haywood's 2 million off the books next year. Incase McBob is not there next year you have Bass in place.

I wouldn't give up Taylor or any picks for Bass, I don't think many here would.

Who knows what our front office is really thinking

As if Haywood's 2 million is such a burden that giving up two young prospects on rookie deals (Taylor and the soon-to-be drafted player) for Brandon Bass is worth it...

I know you guys want to shed salary and acquire assets but this is way too much. No way we do this deal. We, the fanbase, aren't that interested in Bass to begin with.

4 players and a pick for a mediocre player that isn't going to help us much....huh?

I'm not sure I'd be 100% sold on giving Adrien and the Portland pick for bass

Not really. Adrien struggles to score on anyone with a height advantage and has a non existent jump shot. Zeller can at least knock it down from outside the paint and draws fouls v at a higher rate than Adrien ever has (with the ability to make FT)

I'm sorry but I have to disagree, last year when Adrien was getting playing time, he was knowking more jump shot than Zeller at this moment.
Moreover, I have to say that I remember more Adrien finishing in the paint, then Zeller does now...

Of course, I'm speaking of the Adrien who was getting at least 20 min a game last season, now without the playing time, his confidence must be lower.

Cheap help? As in no change? Is this what you want or what you think will happen?

No I think what we are doing is checking on anyone who can help and won't cost us any of our top four assets which I see as Biz, MKG, Zeller and Det pick. We are seeing if there is any help out there that will not kill our future. with so many sellers the market is flooded and we should be able to get something decent with Gordon and the Portland pick as prices are driven down.

Honestly who is an impact player that can be realistically acquired for Gordon and the 25th pick in the draft? We've been shopping that cap space and a late first for months now it seems.

As the deadline gets closer teams who have pieces they really don't want will start to look at the 25th pick as a better asset than nothing. If we were going to be stupid we could already have moved MKG or Biz for bad fits that hurt our team long term. I am hoping they are being smart and waiting to buy low when teams just want something for their players.

We are rumored for Turner, Bass, and Gibson. All these teams want to move these guys for one reason or another. The price will drop if we just wait. I could see us getting Turner for cheap and maybe Bass to go with him without giving up any of our top assets. Maybe we make a move like Gordon for Hump and Sessions and the Portland pick for Turner.

:D I could live with Gordon out for Humphries in,
But ET for Sessions and Portlands first leaves us only Pargo backing up Kemba. We need a PG coming back from Philly

Trade Checker 6425600 Sessions,Tolliver, Haywood, and Detroits first for Philly's ET, Wroten, and 2014 second round pick. (Note: Detroits pick is only top 8 protected10 2014 and top 3 protected in 2015) It insures Philly of a second lottery pick this year or next to pick a replacement for Wroten and 2 expiring contracts.

KW Wroten Pargo

If we give up the Detroit pick to acquire a mediocre talent like Evan Turner it will be an even more disappointing year to go with the Zeller pick. I don't mind having Pargo as the only back up because turner can help handle the ball some too.

Willing to bet Ainge is asking Bass/Bogans for Gordon/POR pick.

Bogans is on a $5mil expiring essentially to make the salaries work, but he's a decent defender and shooter.

For the Blazers pick and cap space I would do Gordon + Haywood for Green + Bass.

I personally wouldn't do it but I obviously have no idea how motivated Ainge is to make a move.

Well I wonder if the Bobcats like both players enough to sacrifice virtually all of the team's cap space and I suspect Ainge wants to 1)Tank 2)Free cap space 3)Add cheap assets/draft picks. I don't think either player is part of your rebuild. But again, the Bobcats are going to be very selective in investing that cap space. We are exiting a rebuild and we want good fits. We have to explore all options.
