For me, he's the kind of talent that I wish the Spurs can acquire and develop. But if we're talking today, his game doesn't fit in well with us.

Doesn't play good defense.

Can't shoot the three.

Turnover prone.

But if we can get him here cheaply and develop him, he can be a future allstar. He's got the talent IMO.

Honestly as a Sixers fan, I don't think it will be too high. If Hinkie can get an expiring deal like Bonner's along with a first round pick which will be pretty late considering your record for Turner, I'd happily pull the trigger if I were him. Turner has pretty much given up for us this season, so maybe a trade to a legit title contender like the Spurs will help light a fire under his @$$.

ET is a guy who'd fit your team.

He's a good character guy who's talented, knows how to win and has some upside. I know right now his shooting is a suspect, but he has improved his shooting mechanics and his FT numbers shows some evidence of him becoming a good shooter. Defensively, he has always placed in bad defensive position guarding opposing SFs, instead of SG and has to provide over help defense to compensate for our team's weak frontcourt (he sags way too much in the interior). Never the less, he is highly skilled and talented. And when he's aggressive on the court, he looks special out there.

Personally, I think he's one of those unathletic highly skilled guy who will take time to develop like Chauncey and Nash. Not saying he's going to be on the same level. I just meant he's going to take time to find his niche in the league and get it going.

Lastly, I don't think you guys can get a guy like ET in the FA or with your low 1sts, so it's a good deal for you guys.

Turner is a solid 6th man on a good team. Just don't expect greatness.

I feel like we have pieces that offer rebounding, post defense, and post scoring (we do have Timmy and Tiago, not to mention Boris has been playing like he lost a championship). I'd welcome Turner, especially to replace Jeff Ayers because he is a very obvious upgrade. I'd rather allocate the resources it'd take to get and retain Turner to other areas of need or standing pat at the PF position all together would be more beneficial than shaking up our chemistry to make room for I guy I think would be there to basically be Tim's backup.
