yeah, if you were to pull up the trade thread i remember a lot of us were very sceptical about giving him up in the trade in what seemed like a throw in/filler(considering his league wide value felt very low, and a lot of us saw promise in him- although maybe not this kind of promise). its unfortunate, but the oppurtunity that he is getting in milwaukee might not have come if he was still here, and jennings is playing well, so if thats what it took to get him then im not too worried.

Detroit's not getting him back in a trade, that's for sure.

Why? He's a lights out shooter who can put the ball on the floor.

Sure, but not if it means we're taking back Knight too. He just hasn't really improved as a passer at all. Undersized for SG, but that's his best position, TO prone... he can be ugly to watch.

Shame we didn't keep Middleton, but he's not like some stud. Solid role player, probably not a starter on a contender but absolutely a useful piece coming off the bench.

Agreed. i posted something similar in another Middleton thread. He is now blowing it up playing for the worst team in the league. He is still a role player for a good team. Sure it would be nice to have him, but he wouldn't solve our SF problem. We need a great SF if we want to get to the next level.

Middleton is shooting .429 from downtown. Of course we could use him.

Knight has also significantly cut his turnover rate, and upped his assist rate, and is getting to the line much more too, all while having more touches and playing the majority of his minutes at the point. Kind of confused as to why even Bucks fans are saying he's having a terrible season, when he's clearly improved.

Both of them are still just 22. I think we gave up on both of them too early,
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I'll pass on Middleton as well. He's going to be a good role player.

C'mon guys, these kind of threads need to stop.
We lost Middleton and he's turned out great, Afflalo is the same.

So we could have kept this guy and Knight, and drafted Burke. Instead we've got Jennings and KCP.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Not sure why anybody wouldn't want him back. I honestly don't see many better SF prospects in the league right now. Luckily, we don't have to dwell too much on the past, b/c he will be a free agent after next year.

Instead of the same old aging wings that keep being mentioned in trade/FA talks (Green, Ariza, Deng, Chandler) I think younger guys like Lance Stevenson, Chandler Parsons and maybe even Middleton are the free agents we should be targeting and planning ahead for.

i remember being upset that we let him go so early because he showed a nice shooting stroke last season (not THIS nice) and a fairly polished mid-range/in-between game, something not very common amongst young players. but hindsight is 20-20. i would rather have given up singler, but is that really what we're nitpicking now? singler over middleton?

and i thought the burke homers were bad...

Quoted for the fcking truth..The Burke sack riding is so old...if you take PG at where we were picking you take MCW over Burke all day everyday.
