How do you guys think Lance would do playing off ball with Kemba? I haven't watched the Pacers enough to know, but he seems like a good fit.

I guess why not? He can be the secondary ball handler who takes over the role of Kemba and stays on the floor to play with the bench unit. What I like about Lance is that he's perfectly fine with not being the main ball handler, yet he'll force the issue whenever he gets his chance. And on a given night where Kemba wouldn't have the energy to have his usual game, he has the ability to increase his number of drives and carry his team a bit.

And considering that cap flexibility is one of Cho's/Mj's mandates...not sure Stephenson or Turner is realistic

Kemba is going to get at least $12 million per year? In his current form, I would expect him to get much closer to $8 million per year like Jennings and Teague got, but maybe over a year or two more.
Humble yourself.

True or not that assumption may be, that's Dave's problem then.

We're 22-28 in a historically terrible East. That's far from good. Add Lance and DeJuan Blair (lol) to that starting unit and how many wins would that realistically get us? Maybe a .500 team, maybe. Still the same gaping holes of perimeter shooting and rim protection except with less cap space and draft picks to rectify them. I don't like watching mediocre basketball. I'd rather watch a bad but developing team playing the right way or a good team playing the right way. The important part is doing it the right way b/c like the adage says, anything worth doing is worth doing right. Wins don't signify success anymore than tithing more increases your chances of going to heaven.

Basketball is a medium of my Taoistic/Deistic religious beliefs and should transcend the dualistic pitfalls of the corporeal world when done correctly, otherwise you might as well be breaking rocks.

 :dontknow:  :crowded: As much as I want LS here, and we definitely could throw allot more money than Indy, I think MJ.CHO and Coach will go after Trade for 3 before Feb 20th. WIN Now is their attitude and because the East is so weak, The right trade(s) could result in a 6th seed and second round advancement and still be able to improve next season possibly getting Detroit's 2014 9th or 10th pick and Portland's 25th 2014 pick. and still have a high second round pick.

Trade Checker 6423778 Henderson, Zellar,Adrien for Philly's ET,Anderson and Allen
We keep our picks and are better for playoffs.
KW Sess Par
Anderson Gordon CDR ,...Jt on IR
ET MKG Toll
McBob,Allen
Al Biz Haywood
Worth a call on this one Cho?

Anybody think Aaron Gordon could fall to us? 6-8 Defender at the 4 spot...We could use that, and just let Al keep doing what he is doing offensively down low.

Jeff Goodman of ESPN's first mock draft has Bobcats taking McDermott at the 9th pick, and then taking TJ Warren at the 26th pick..I guess he thinks we will trade one pick away...but what do you guys think about those players?

I like getting Warren that late in the round, and I do like McDermott but 9 might be too high for him.

That 9th pick is owed to Charlotte from Detroit, and the 26th pick is owed to Charlotte from Portland. The other pick that you mentioned is owed to Chicago from Charlotte if it fall anywhere outside of the top 10

McDermott would fit perfectly with us.

McDermott would fit perfectly with us.

Part of the reason the whole recent Evan Turner proposition scares me is not because it wouldnt make us better in the interim (it certainly would) but because he will be so expensive to retain that well be stuck with a kemba/hendo/turner/zeller/jefferson core and wont be able to add anyone else significant since we'll be capped out.

I'd much rather draft a shooter like McDermott (provided he shows in workouts that he can at least passably defend NBA SF's and function in such a role himself) or Rodney Hood and instead use the $ freed up from Gordon's expiring to pursue Lance in the offseason.

Gordon Hayward or Stephenson, easily.

Hayward and MKG would be nice pair on the wings. I would pray he finds his 3 point stroke again though, because his percentage from deep has went from 41% last year to 30% this year.

Its different getting open shots when Jefferson is getting doubled and then not getting any open shots this year as the go to man.

Not to mention the larger role in general he has to fill this season.

Lance Stephenson or bust. We have to get him. Add one other piece and we could be dangerous

Lots of teams will be after Lance. He is going to get paid by someone.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody
