We trade Monroe or Smith for a really good SG then sign LeBron in the summer, along with a few vets trying to win rings. That could at least be feasible right?

Jordan, Shaq, Kobe, and Scottie were all ready made stars when he took over those teams. We have no idea how he'd handle a rebuilding situation. Closest we've seen to one is after Jordan retired the first time, and there was still a pretty well established core of veterans there.

Its a moot point, though. He's not coming out of retirement to put on a conductor hat for this trainwreck.

Well, this is true, but Jackson can turn a Melo type of player in a winning type of player. He's not very good developing young players, but he's very good developing stars into superstars.
