A deal that I have no idea why it hasn't happened yet - Felton for Neal. They want to move him.

20-32 going into the all star break. This entire organization is beyond an embarassment.

Not that my scenario is super realistic - I mean Bargs is italian trailer trash. But going after a guy like Deng is what contending teams do.
Woodson & Felton will not be here day 1 of training camp next season. If they are, it's b/c Melo has left and we are purposely tanking.
yeah, I agree. out of all the 2 way SF's that can guard PF's that are available(Thad, Josh Smith,)Deng is the most talented, most experienced, and best outside shooter.

Under this scenario, OKC can replace three pieces of their rotation with an upgrade at the starting C position and only add $29,714 to their payroll, keeping them clear of luxury tax. We solve our C position long term and add a cheap wing prospect.

ugh, I have a good feeling absolutely nothing will happen this trade deadline, Woodson will stay, we'll continue to suck, players are gunna start going sore, especially Melo, he'll leave for nothing, and we'll be a .200 team next year.

Re: Knicks-Related Trade "THOUGHTS" Thread - Part Deux
Knicks in:
K Thompson
H Barnes
B Mclemore
Speights
J Oneal
O Kuzmic
2015 Sac first rounder
GSW in:
Melo
Thornton
Shump
Sac in:
David Lee
Knicks get a first rounder, a plethora of good young players to go ahead with.
GSW get a superstar and have a deadly 1-2 punch with Curry and Melo + the defensive minded center that Melo needs when he plays the 4. Plus they have good depth around them with Iggy, Thornton, Green, Crawford and Shump making up the supporting cast. Their depth would be a problem but they'd be better up top and could always find vets to fill the roster out
Sacramento gets Lee, a walking double double that would be a potent weapon next to Cousins. They take on a lot of salary long term in exchange for some solid players a pick. They go forward with Gay, Lee, Cousins, Thomas as their core.
Pretty wild to have so many players but it works for all sides IMO
Edit: It was suggested that this wasn't a good deal for GSW previously but I would say that a starting lineup of
Curry
Thornton
Iggy
Melo
Bogut
Is well balanced and could still play defense as well being potent offensively. Again not as deep as their current starting lineup but when push comes to shove playoff time , having a Melo-type is better than D Lee or any of the guys they trade away.

you cannot be this stupid, he's a rookie backup with comparable per 36 numbers. firstly he's played 2x as much games, averages .5 rpg and 1.5less ppg and .5 more block

No way that GSW is giving up Lee who can play off the ball with Curry. Adding Melo probably do more damage than good here.

Re: Knicks-Related Trade "THOUGHTS" Thread - Part Deux
Everyone but Dolan sees that the best trade that can happen is Woodson for any coach with an ounce of basketball IQ. Seriously - why the fuq would you keep playing Felton in these clutch moments even though he always fails? Literally has failed every time except once (against Suns). He misses wide open 3's. He turns the ball over in these moments b/c he tries to do moves that he can't b/c he is way out of shape. And we are always in single digits when the offense starts b/c he's dribbling!!!!!!!
Is Woodson mentally stable? Any human with common sense would play Prigs. I can't believe these epic failures along with SHump & JR have literally ruined a season of one of the greatest Knicks in his prime. Thank you Dolan & Mills for standing idly by and letting a fanbase deal with the worst season I've ever seen from an expectation standpoint.
They've again failed us and if Melo leaves b/c of their failures, I don't think I can support this organization till somehow Dolan is gone or is put in check by the NBA. I'll always be a Knicks fan - just can't support this fool in charge.

My money is that Mills will acquire at least one of these players before the deadline and call it a win. So...pick your poison boys.

Re: Knicks-Related Trade "THOUGHTS" Thread - Part Deux
^^^^ In a possible Isiah Thomas like move
Chander/Felton/Shumpert/Metta for Gordon/Evans does work under the cap (according to Trade Checker).
Chandler would help the Pelicans poo defense, give Davis some protection and allow him to focus on being one of the best PF's in the league. Shumpert would also theoretically help their poor defense and start alongside Jrue Holiday when he returns. In the meantime Felton starts and becomes the backup PG when Holiday returns.
May I introduce your new New York Knicks starting backcourt lol.

Manhattan Project wrote::lol: Yet aside from McGee all of them can help in a certain way. Not saying it makes much sense, but they could help. Smith could help with defense, rebounding and transition.... or shoot more three pointers. Evans could bring scoring and break down defenses.... or JR, Evans and Melo form the unholy trinity. Sanders could bring some interior defense and challenge shots.... or could go clubbing with JR and punch a mirror. Gordon could be that second scorer next to Melo like he has done before.... or we have a shorter JR.
Yep...exactly when I looked it over. My reaction was basically went like this...

NY trades- STAT, Shumpert
DET trades- Smith, Stuckey
NY gets a starting pg and a starting PF
DET gets to correct their off season mistake and get out of Smith's contract. They also get a young SG for Stuckey who they probably will not resign.
2015 blah blah we either go all out or lose Melo in the off season(we are not trading him) and be in a worse then ever situation with no picks and no star player.

I dont think Smith is a good addition to this team though
Stucky isnt great either but hes an upgrade over the garbage we have
Josh Smith is too selfish and dumb to play here and hed be a cancer for this team like he was in Atl and like he is in Det

How about Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans for Chandler, Felton, Shumpert and Artest?
