I would still rather Zach Lavine over Gary Harris even if he's not NBA ready because he's more talented and has a better overall game. I don't want no more possible projects on our team but if Lavine fall to any of our picks I want him. He might return though so James Young is my other favorite late in the lottery.

Tyler Ennis or Zach LaVine?

Despite his upside, would you really trust Zach LaVine in charge of the 2nd unit on a win-now team?

Ennis seems more NBA ready and one of those stable character guys Cho loves.

Zach LaVine, but I have a feeling that he'll return for his sophomore year at UCLA

How would you feel if the Bobcats drafted Tyler Ennis with the Pistons pick with the idea that he leads the 2nd unit of Henderson, Taylor, Zeller and Biyombo. Those guys have played alot of minutes together and Ennis seems to have NBA polish and poise. It could be an effective 2nd unit. Taylor needs to improve his 3's though. And Zeller needs to hit the open jump shot and get more aggressive and composed.

It would be a wasted pick. At this point of time, Kemba is turning into a +35 minutes floor leader, and it wouldn't be wise to use a lottery pick on a backup that'll only play limited minutes behind him when there are so many other glaring needs like perimeter shooting at the wing positions & a starting material PF. There are plenty of backup point guards that could be had for cheap via free-agency

OK that sounds fair. It seems LaVine could both back up Kemba in those sparse extra minutes and play some SG to give them the perimeter shooting you mentioned. I hope he comes out.

I hope somebody in LaVine's camp tell him to leave if he could be a top-20 pick, because I'm sure his people behind the scenes notice how Alford is holding him back in a attempt to make him return for another year which might make him consider transferring from UCLA, but entering the draft might be a better idea if he's guaranteed a 1st round selection

I feel sorry for the team that draft Aaron Gordon in the lottery. He can't shoot for sh*t as evidenced by his 42% FT shooting.

Who are the best 3 & D guys in this draft? Any projected to go near the Portland pick?

well some players that could be 3 & D players are

SG CJ Wilcox 41.2% three 1stl 1blk (takes 7 threes a game)
SF KJ Daniels 34% three 1.1stl 2.7blks
SG PJ Hairston 40% three i think he is better than just a 3 & D tho, might be a solid starter if he falls to POR

SG Garry Harris is probably the best 3 & D player, he is projected as a top 10 pick

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :nonono: :nonono: :nonono: Remember ADAM MORRISON.
Please do not draft Dougie Mac...............................

The Truth is that we will trade the Portlands mid twentysomething 2014 1st round pick with either Henderson or MKG to acquire a 3 to try to make the playoffs.

That said I think we will still get the Detroit pick at 13 or 14 as they will just miss the 8th seed . With that pick at 13/14,we should pick PJ Hairston to backup JT at the 2. Ya, the guy made some mistakes and got kicked off Carolina's team because of some character issues, but that doesn't mean he would not make an outstanding 2 guard for us. When last heard from ,he was playing in the Dleague in Texas and doing well.

With our second pick in the second round we need to pick a point guard. Sessions will be gone to Free Agency and Pargo who knows, maybe playing horse with Dell Curry. I think Ohio States Aaron Craft or Michigans Keith Appling should be our choice to backup Kemba or if we sign a veteran come in as the 3rd point.

Craft isn't good enough to be a primary backup in the NBA, im not sure he will even go to the NBA, i have heard he wants to be a doctor which is why he has been in school 25 years

Hum Backup point and Team Doctor..Works for me....He's smart in all aspects of the game. If he doesn't come out then theres Appling.

If we ended up out and Detroit is in the playoffs and we get a top ten the 15th and the 23rd or 24th. I would jump at Hairston with the 15th. He would fit nicely at SG and fills a big void here.

McDermott is in no way similar to Adam Morrison other than skin color. If Detroit just misses the playoffs, well get their pick around 10 and I would love to have McDermott
