Don't look now, but the# 7 seed is now one more loss away....

:ouch:

Were only 3 games from the 9th seed. :o Cleveland is the 11th seed and only 5.5 back after making up 3 games on the Wiz this week.

Problem for the Wiz is that it's playoffs or bust for the 9th, 10th & 11th ranked teams in the East. Detroit, NY & Cleveland all won't be tanking as people are trying to save their jobs as Ernie & Witt are here in DC.

Were still a Nene or Gortat injury away from watching this crumble.

In order, I'd prefer:

1. 3-6 seed
2. Out of playoffs
3. 7 or 8 seed

I'm so damn starved for the playoffs (or even relevance)... and really can't bring myself to root against the Bullets.

But scenario #2 would, finally, I believe precipitate the house cleaning we all know is necessary and would get us back our draft pick (Doug McDermott, anyone?)

I only want scenario #2 because it's in the best interests long term for the franchise. Any other scenario means we sacrifice the next few seasons for a fleeting moment of happiness this year (which will be short lived anyways.)

Scenario #1 or #3 in Ted's eyes validates Ernie & Witt. To me, that's the worse case scenario. The way I look at it, we can blow it up after this year and have the flexibility to quickly retool or we can live in denial only to watch it blow up in another year or two when the wheels fall off and we've got a ton of long term contracts on the books.

Pretty big indictment of the players and coaches.

Harden can get to the line whenever he wants or gets layups when opponents avoid contact from him. In a couple of years I'm guessing that Wall and Beal will pick up some of these flopping tactics.

Referees get paid good money to fix games. Game fixing is to the NBA as steroids is to MLB. Where is the Congressional Inquiry?

The new Commisioner should be Vince McMahon.

If there was a betting conspiracy, I have a hard time that the Wizards being from DC is on the losing end of the corruption battlefield.
Bullets -> Wizards
