You still afraid Lebron?Lol
It doesn't matter if Lebron is in the same team with Wade.Wade isn't 2006 Wade.He is a 18 ppg player..He has injuries.Last year at Playoffs he was bad.Only Game 4 at Finals you have to remember other than that he was very bad at the Playoffs.
I remember when you said the same **** when he had teammate the 37 year old Shaq or Ben Wallace.
Yes and Jordan had Robert Parish teammate.lol
Teammates and big names means nothing if they aren't at their best. And Wade was never at his best after Lebron went to Miami.

Wait what? Wade had over a 30 PER in the finals when Lebron sucked in them. Also he averaged over 30 ppg vs the Celtics when Lebron averaged 28 ppg.

Wade was arguably as bad as LeBron against the Mavs......when he faced the Bulls that year.

Also as great as Wade was during the Celtics series. LeBron averaged like 28/10/6. And made most of the clutch shots.

The only series he wasnt better than Wade was the finals....which obviously cost them the title.

LeBron was only "Pippen esque" with 18/7/6

You speak only for these series when Lebron was great too and the clutch player.
As I said Wade was never Prime Wade after Lebron went to South Beach.
Wade with Lebron is never Pippen with Jordan.Especially if you think the defence. Not even close.
Wade will be one of the greats but injuries destroyed him.

How so? Wade put up a 30 PER, Pippen never came close to that. He also outscored Lebron in several series and was the best player in a few.

Wade is a much better player than Pippen, no doubt about it, but Jordan and Pippen were even more than the sum of its parts because of their chemistry and effort level on defense, while LeBron and prime Wade (in 2011) seemed to detract something from each other.

Prime Wade a better overall player than Prime Pippen but Wade with Lebron not as good as Pippen with Jordan.

You seemed to slightly disregard the chemistry Pippen and Jordan had developed together before they won a ring

For those who haven't seen it yet, J Englemann has released his pure RAPM numbers for this season so far.

Interesting results with regards to this debate.

I think its Lebron now. I expect him to outplay Kd significantly and Kds turnover problems are going to show up again IMO

It's possible, but won't he be handling a lot less with WB back?
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

Based on what we've seen this season, I'd have to say Durant. Lebron's jump shot and defense haven't been as good as they've been in past years, and not only is Durant the better scorer, but I can't even say Lebron has defended better this season, so we're left with his passing and playmaking advantage, but that's not enough for me this year based on how much Durant has improved there. Lebron's coasting defensively and Durant leading OKC to a better record in a tougher conference with Westbrook out so much makes him my choice at the moment. Granted, the season is far from over, and this question will be answered more accurately in the playoffs.

Of course Lebron was great in the game tonight before he left while Durant has had a poor game. Pretty much the opposite of the game in Miami.

Lebron is back to his 11,12,13 for, defensively these last 6 weeks or so. Before that the team in general was coasting and Lebron was a little below his norm. Kd is not and has not been any where near him defensively.

Hate to sound like a homer but not even close. LeBron was right there with KD all throughout the Miami game.

In this one, KD did nothing for majority of the game. LeBron had like what, 12 before KD even scored a basket or something? Then KD was gifted FTs and had like two transition dunks as soon as LeBron left the game.

KD's still the MVP for me but let's be clear, LeBron owned KD's soul in this game.

It was as much of a "Slow down there KD, I'm still the best" type of statement game as you'll ever see. Just would've been nice if he'd finished the game.

I'm just trying to figure out how(the Lebron haters not the Durant fans they actually are solid) are going to spin this when it's not etched in our memories anymore. I hear this all the time. Lebron clearly outplays Durant but 2-3 months later the story changes and the Lebron haters remember at as "x" ppg on "x" shooting. They totally forget that last year when Durant dropped 40 in the second game the game was done in the fourth and he did a bulk of his scoring with lebron on the bench but they don't remember it this way. Same with tonight 2-3 months from now they are young to remember it as he just scored a few poins less totally disregarding Lebron probably would have had 40+, totally forgetting how horrible Durant looked tonight despite being literally gift wrapped calls all night while the other guy literally has to get murdered and still doesn't get his share. Well see 2-3 months from now how they spin it. Again I say not Durant fans they don't say crap like this it's the Lebron haters that do.

Yeah, LeBron is still the best in the game. Look KD has closed the gap on him and he played like the best player in the league the first half of the season but when LeBron is playing like the way he has been playing the last month he takes it to a different level. I still got KD for MVP but it will be an interesting race. I don't think it is as wrapped as it was last year for LeBron.

KD can't compete with Lebron at his best defensively, but I'm going by the entire season. It's like Shaq in his prime, aside from 2000, he didn't bring it night in and night out defensively, but would for the stretch run and playoffs, but the coasting during the regular season defensively still knocks him down a bit. Durant on the other hand has improved just about every year defensively, and I'd say has gone beyond just above average to a legitimately good defender.

KD outplayed Lebron decisively in the Miami game. Lebron made the stats look closer when he started going hard late and padded his point total nicely with the game already in hand. In fact, iirc, Durant had pretty much backed off with his own offense since early in the 4th since he had already put OKC in a comfortable position.

Lebron's performance in that game was really underwhelming while Durant played great. Not sure how anyone could have watched that game and come away with any other impression.

I do agree with your assessment of tonight's game, though. Miami had a huge lead in the 3rd, and OKC would never seriously threaten them from that point and Durant was something like 4 for 14 at that point, but had the easy follow in transition off the Sefolosha miss, the bailouts on jumpers including the 3, the type of foul we see in today's game that I hate when he pretty much ran into Birdman who was running back and just threw up a running shot from around 15 feet and 2-3 other wide open transition dunks. All after Miami had long since established a double digit lead that typically stayed between 16-20 points.

In this case, Durant's stats make it looked like a pretty respectable performance and better than he really was, but that's similar to Lebron's numbers making his Miami game look better than it was in January.

No one said he wasn't a good defender, he's getting close to the level below elite. Doesn't mean he's a better defender than james. Even this season with Lebron coasting on that end the first two months. He's picked it back up to a level Durant can't reach. Kd is still prone to stupid fouls, getting caught off ball, his postup d isn't good there a list of areas he could improve. His man d is more than solid though especially against wings. There more to d than just playing man to man. Lebron is very disciplined on d, off ball he creates havoc when the rest of the heat actually show up there, he's arguably the best man defender on perimters in the league. Miami still throws him at every position. More importantly in games like this and In The playoffs you know his impact will be felt on that end just as much as his offence. It's not a knock on kd but he's not on lebrons level defensively at all.
