Well, I would say that at least Voleyball and Waterpolo should be on the list, together with tennis at number 6 :)

In Germany it's probably
1. Soccer
2/3. Handball or Biathlon
4. Ski Jumping
5. Tennis, if Germans are winning that is.
6. The rest.

Didn't count Formula 1, if I had it would be a close number 2.

Nowadays MotoGP could be the second. And cycling is ahead of basketball except for national team basketball. Tour de France and Vuelta have great ratings, european basketball incredible low. In fact with the only exception of a few games like Barça-Madrid, basketball TV ratings are lower or even than for example futbol sala or handball or another bizarre sports.

In the UK it's pretty much just football that hits crazy levels of popularity. Rugby is popular too, but even that doesn't hit the heights of football. I've always found it strange that we love football so much but we're 1) terrible at it 2) living in a country where it rains most of the year.

Basketball has a good cult following in the UK, like most American sports. The NBA games that are held here always sell out, but it's never covered in the news unless something big happens, like LeBron going home or the Donald Sterling stuff. We even have our own league here, the BBL (British Basketball League) and I support and go to the games of my home team (The Glasgow Rocks). But even the British league gets so mainstream media coverage here, which is a shame.

Australia (WA at least(Thats Western Australia, third of the country))

1.AFL
2.Rugby Union
3.Netball
4.Soccer

Then we're between Hockey/Leagye/Basketball

Hockey played as much as NBA, but Soccer would be the more supported with a huge South African/English Migrant population) NBA is followed pretty well and we have some good players but it never really boomed

Australia

NSW is different to this but I'm taking into account the rest of the country (I've lived in every state so have a pretty decent idea IMO)

AFL
Soccer
Rugby League
Cricket
Union
Tennis
Basketball

I did not include netball or swimming but they would be up there too.

I would argue that basketball is even a sport no1 in Slovenia, specially after last years European champs and Gogi achievnments..

4. Other sports, I don't know clearly, but I rank them the same.
