Detroit fires Mo Cheeks as the Pistons currently stand in 9th position, 3.5 games behind the Wizards.

The Cavs fired GM Grant as they currently stand 12th, 7.5 games behind the Wizards.

The Knicks are rumored to be on the verge of firing their coach, and they currently stand 5 games behind the Wizards.

There doesn't seem to be a huge difference b/w success and failure in the East.

Holy crap. 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and the Sixers are collectively shooting 19%. And that's thanks to a moderately okay night from Thad Young who is 7/17. The rest of the team is a combined 6/50. That's 12%.

ORL just beat OKC and IND back to back

MEM is up next.

Nikola is back from injury and VO has some experience in the league by now so he should be ready to start putting up some numbers. T Harris is back as well.

They have good cap space for the offseason. I wonder if they go after Isaiah Thomas. They can through a big number at him.

ORL has three players I liked from the drafts in VO, T Harris and Nikola.

More then I can say about EG.

GM Rob Hennigan has been stopping some good young talent.

Next season, I expect Orlando and Boston both will surpass the Wizards. Youth and talent will be able to get better.

Gotta see what they add and what the Wizards do. Hard to see Boston being better than Washington next year though. We still don't even know what they are going to do with Rondo.

And while I like what Orlando is doing, I have to see what they add. Plus they will need to gain experience.

Way to early to make a prediction like that. Just not enough facts to judge it.

Hands, the Wiz can't get much better. They either retain their guys or replace them by overpaying some RFA like Monroe.

Boston has picks, will free up cap room in the next year... If they keep Rondo, they have a guy in his prime who can lead their team back to the postseason in a weak East

ORL needs beef up front in terms of rim protectors. A young PG would help there too.

Both franchises have better front offices than what we have so..

IDK, knowing what you need and being able to get it are sometimes 2 very different things.

We need KD as a Wizard. All that said, I fully recognize that there is considerable
variation in how well a given GM identifies needs, and secures assets to fill those needs.

MCW's shooting has come back to earth. When he got off to a hot start i remember a couple of people saying that they expected his shooting to cool off (Dat and Nivek). If it was hands who said it i am sure he would have reminded us several times by now.

MCW currently shooting 39.4% from the field, 29% from 3.

MCW is good at basically everything except shooting. And maybe turnovers. :) Terrific rebounder for a guard. Good assist numbers. Good defender. I'd love to have him on the Wizards.

If I had my pick of the sixers litter, MCW would probably be 3rd behind Hawes and Thad.

That is correct usage of the word litter. :)

CCJ and Nate touched on this a little, above. But really, somebody in Philadelphia needs to get fired or a player or two released. You just can't lose consecutive games by 45 and 43 points and nobody bear any consequences.

Whatever the spread for the 76ers vs Jazz game is on Wednesday, take Utah no matter what.

I feel like KD is too nice of a guy to leave OKC. Plus they are already title contenders.

Maybe they should all get raises since they are tanking.

I don't think I made any projections on that. I was more :o that he was doing so well. He wasn't someone I focused on this draft. He, KCP and Giannis Adetokunbo were the top 15 I didn't comment on much before the draft.

My feeling was that VO and Burke would be the two making a run for ROTY. Well see what happens down the home stretch.

for some reason I could see Wall being a lil tight & nervous in the dunk contest and All Star game. I would love nothing more than to be wrong but him, like Arenas hasnt shown the ability to stand out in events among peers. They almost seem submissive or settle when in truth the All Star game is made for a guy like Wall more than probably any other player. He should win the MVP if he got the burn and played like he wanted it but he will probably just be happy to be there and play like a role player which may make him suck.

Beal on the other hand, I think will be very aggressive and I honestly wouldnt be shocked if he won rither the MVP of the rising stars or won the 3pt contest. I predict he will be top 5 in MVP voting and will lose in the finals of the 3pt shootout
