Also, Adler REALLY has to be concerned about losing his WC2014 spot as a reserve GK. His is single handedly breaking his team's back.

Not much to say, he is just rarely playing. And at the moment it might be better for him not to play.

Apart from the expected Bayern and BVB thrashings, Braunschweig and Hoffenheim get huge wins over Stuttgart and HSV. Braunschweig is now smelling Hamburg blood, and Stuttgart really must watch out not to relegate. Their only good player (Ibisevic) is still out for 4 more games.

Great week at bundesliga again :D

21 goals in 5 games. I should bet over on every single game in bundesliga.

It doesn't help that they keep their best player, Maxim, on the bench now for some reason. Probably because having Werner and Maxim out there together is too much talent and creativity.

Nice goal for Goretzka, the kid is going to be such a monster in a few years.

Gladbach gave Hrgota the start in place of arrango like I wanted, still only drew though :-/ They really need to get their mojo back as they've been so off since the winter break.

Must be weird for you to see teams that actually know how to play with the ball after all of that turkish and italian soccer you watch.

The injury lists at Bayern, Dortmund and Schalke have just been crazy this year, of course with bayern's depth no body has noticed, but they've been hammered hard all season long.

The obvious replacement is Götze, the non-obvious one is Robben (i.e. Müller takes the right wing), and the surprise one would be Green.

Scouting report from a HSV fansite: "Bouy cannot pass to save his life, cannot tackle, and has the speed of a snail. But our club environment is so toxic that every new player bombs, and every player who leaves suddenly plays well, e.g. Bruma, Skjelbreid and Berg."

Fun fact: if Bayern lost all their remaining 13 BL matches, they still would qualify for the CL. 59 points was always enough to be at least 4th. To achieve this in 21 games is simply :o

Stuttgart have a huge coaching problem. They are getting out-coached every game. They got some quality up front with Ibisevic, Abdellaoue, Werner, Maxim, Harnik, Traore and Leitner. It's just a matter of using them right. I would use Abdellaoue up front with Ibisevic suspended. Maxim #10, Werner&Harnik on the wings.

Unfortunately, the current 4-4-2 system with Leitner/Khedira at DM/CM is terrible for them since both strikers basically don't defend at all. That means the opponent team can easily attack the DM/CM all game long. Add in that Leitner is kinda bad defensively and Khedira is very inexperienced.

They should drop their system in favour of a 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1. I don't understand why Schneider kept the 4-4-2 anyway. It proved to be rather unsuccessful in the 1st leg compared to the 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 they also used in some games. Don't know why he would have the idea to use the system they had the least success in 1st leg but for some reason he does.

That change and I guarantee Stuttgart will not get relegated. Their team is good enough to win a couple more games if they regain a little more defensive stability.
Unlike in Hamburg where not even a tactical change can turn things around anymore, IMO.

I literally feel sorry for Ola John and Bouy who came into the team hoping to improve as a player and gain some playing time in the Bundesliga.

Now they find themselves in a mess of a situation where they get things thrown at them after games, can't concentrate on their job and most importantly will certainly lose their motivation to improve as a player at least for half a season.

Two steps back instead of a step in the right direction.

Well, bad enough that van Marwijk got the axe earlier today. The meeting sealing his fate took 30 minutes, according to kicker.de

Biiiiig win for Schalke.

I'm happy for Keller that he can now work with a little less distraction but I'm still not convinced he is the right coach.

Nice goal from Goretzka.
