This article shows that Josh's shot distribution at SF and PF are virtually the same.

Yet people to this day are STILL making excuses for this guy.

he only has consistent success posting up is when he is facing skinny twig SFs like paul george or batum. When he is facing any SF with some meat on their bones he sucks. His strength at SF is average and is below average at PF which is why he has been labeled as a tweener.
Parson is acting like he can overpower every SF in the league like hes lebron james lol.

If he developed a true post up game he would be a dominant player. He has the athleticism (for now) to get out and run and dunk, but he has the long arms to be able to do jump hooks over guys like Iggy and such. He doesnt have to back down iggy, he has to face up and use his quickness to get around iggy, something IGGY could NEVER stop.
But he doesnt care, he wants to be a SG. He reminds me of the kids at the local LA FITNESS who comes down and jacks up 3 balls and never hits rim , but refuses to pass it to the gym rat that shoots 80% from the 3 pt range

Smith is pretty strong but he can leap like few others. It's not complicated: once he gets anyone down low, he can just about jump up and hook over them. According to DraftExpress, there have been 14 players with a higher max vertical reach than Smith since 1989. Of those, 4 are presently in the NBA (Rudy Gay, Tyrus Thomas, JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard. Only one (Rudy Gay) is a SF - with a max vertical reach of only 1.7" more. Do the math.
