McDermott is insane he can score from everywhere at anytime in anyway, he has an elite 3pt shot, he has post moves, he can drive and finish with either hand, he can shoot midrange, create his own shot, run off screens, hit FT's with great accuracy, get to the line, play 2 positions and he is extremely efficient even when the other team knows whats coming they cant stop him or slow him down no matter what they do he beats them every time

I'm starting to believe that Doug McDermott made Harrison Barnes look good in HS as teammates and that it really should've been McDermott as the top high school prospect instead.

And he was a walk-on at Creighton.

I think it helped. I also think Doug made the right call going to a small school. He would have been buried on some bigger teams. Get to play and shoot a ton right away helped him a lot. Also getting to develop his game against weaker competition. It was the perfect fit for what he was coming out of high school.

Doug McDermott is playing as a walk on this year. He gave up his scholarship this season so that teammate Grant Gibbs could come back after a series of severe injuries. Amazing.

I don't get the love everyone has for Mcdermott lol. Sure I think he'll be a good player in the NBA, but there's other guys that have more franchise player potential depending on what pick we have.

Zach lavine if he's available. Doug might be the best available around there, I just didn't really understand all the love he gets up here lol.

I think he has way more franchise player potential though.

LaVine has 0 franchise player potential, he has a higher ceiling than Doug, but that's another history.
I think Doug is a good fit with Charlotte system, and I'd probably pick him with one pick in the 10-14 range.
Hopefully Charlotte ends up with the 8th and 9th pick and you can get something better, I'd like to see Gary Harris and James Young in this team.

Meh. This year's draft, I think we should be drafting a player that has proven to be capable instead of drafting on potential. Too much talent to be drafting on potential.

Anybody think Sindarius Thornwell is eventually going to be NBA material? I want a good reason to watch some of my team's games.

Whenever he help reverse the fortunes of the Gamecocks to win more games than they lose that'll be a start. Outside of that he is talented but I don't see him as NBA material yet. He need to start averaging at least 20 points next year which I see as possible for him. He's a Oak Hill product so scouts know who he is.

I'm not really impressed with LaVine sure he is athletic and can shoot pretty well but a lot of players are athletic and can shoot and he may have potential but im tired of drafting players that are potential or "what they could be" players i want an NBA ready instant impact type player not more projects big or small

Yeah, I'm officially on Team Doug McBuckets with the Detroit pick. Dude is just everything Charlotte is missing on this roster, efficient, shooter, IQ, ball mover, etc.

I'd love to keep CHA's pick just for no other reason but to take a flyer on a big name that might slip down like Randle or hell, even Smart for that matter.
