I didn't. Everyone knew it was the consolation prize for losing McDyess. He wasn't really a fit at the time and stupid Randy f'n Livingston jacking up his knee didn't help that's for dang sure.

I remember Webber eating his heart in the playoffs...

Googs
Cliff Robinsom
Mario Elie
Vinny D
Chris Dudley

What was our infatuation with over-the-hill hacks that year? Quite a testament to Kidd/Marion that we won 51 games.

Was that the quickest 99 page thread on the Suns forums?

I could of sworn the last trade thread was less than a month old lol....

I just have a feeling Suns will do a crazy trade involving Bledsoe.. Something tells me they are going in for the marbles this week.

I did not hear of anything either so just throwing out my worthless knowledge that I believe I know.

I liked the idea of Googs. He was coming off a good season, and often he was filling up the stat sheet. But it didn't work out. The real bummer about Googs was giving up the NY pick to get rid of him, that either could have been Paul George or Gordon Hayward. :(

Wouldn't be shocked. Before Bledsoe went down I didn't see any issue with him making twice what Dragic will make over the next couple years. Now Dragic will be looking for that AND more with the he's playing at a borderline-elite level.

Dang, I remember that play too. I was pretty young, but all I could think was that giant egghead Randy Livingston really messed him up! I was not a happy camper...

I'd be pretty surprised. He's hurt, and he's a soon to be FA/RFA, I can't see him being moved under his circumstances. Some team would have to REALLY want Bledsoe to trade for him as is. If he was to be moved, I'm not sure he'd even bring that much in return right now. We certainly wouldn't be selling high on him.

I still think it's gonna be Pau Gasol who's gonna get traded and I wouldn't mind it one bit so long as it's Okafor/Indy's 1st and Kravtsov (added only to get rid of his contract). Even if it's only two months of Gasol, I believe he would be a very good mentor for Alex Len. I think all the talk about Gasol wanting to stay and play with the Lakers is him having some kind of Stockholm syndrome effect, lol. Anyway, I've been watching more footage of Gasol this year, and his mid range jumper is automatic, his post-game is still there, and all in all, I believe he would be a great asset to pick up. He is still a top 5 PF in the league, and I'd say top 3 PF in terms of offensive capability. He still commands double teams, and that would open up shots for our shooters, Plumlee would get more hustle points, and Frye is a better player coming off the bench. Our bench would be huge with Len/Frye/Markieff/Marcus, not to mention when we get Bledsoe back and move Green back to the bench as well.
Honestly, if I were a top Western Conference team, I would not want to face the Suns in the first round.

If we make a move for Gasol it's to make the playoffs.
The worst thing that can happen right now is if we finished 9th in the west

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Agreed - would rather have Meeks but since Meeks only makes 1.5m - would be kind of hard for the Suns to get him for anythy but a draft pick

I don't mind if its Gasol - just not the Indy pick

Still want Blake the most on that team. Just not sure can get him unless the Lakers wanted a true cash dump of Blake and Kaman

Suns could absorb both Meeks and BLake for nothing

My prediction is the suns make a minor move right at the deadline for a player they can absorb with cap space. This won't be a needle mover trade just a depth type deal for someone like Blake, Meeks, ridnour, epe udoh, or someone like that.

One guy who might be had for virtually free is ersan illysova. Well frees the wrong word because he would cost about 24 mil for the next 3 yrs. I doubt the suns would want to tie up the cap space but if they knew they were getting the illysova that shot 45% from 3 and rebounded well instead of the awful version he's been this yr it's an intriguing deal.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I asked:
Which is more likely for the Suns to do; stand pat, trade Okafor, or trade another player?

The second unit would be Bledsoe Green Morris Morris Frye!! No room for Len. Making LB extra. Man that is a deep team!

Im back on the trade for Gasol train!

Ok submitted the question; scale 1-10, what the chance the suns make a move before the trade deadline?

Got a feeling he is going to answer with the easiest answer which is 5. Think he is going to say it's 50-50 on whether they make a move.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

I don't think they take on Ilyasova but one of the other names you mention - for sure - makes sense to get a guy they absorb for nothing - maybe a future second round pick.
