Another guy who Wall may be able to make useful is Marvin Williams. He's got legit stretch 4 size and has shot acceptably well from 3 pt range the last 4 years. Of course the problem with him is I don't think he ever wanted to be "the man" but he might still have more utility in todays NBA then a guy like say....Singleton :I

Marvin Williams is the current apple of my eye for this Wiz team. He'd be a great 7th man for this team. It's possible Utah might go for a Vesely+ for Marvin type deal at the deadline. If not that, he'd be a good rotation player to target as a FA using a portion of the MLE. Wall's best strength is hitting spot up shooters. Williams has become a solid spot up shooter from deep (just don't ask him to create).

Something like Jan+Maynor+'15 2nd might have some legs to it. Another team ought to be able to offer more though.

I guess it has to be asked, so... Should the Wiz go after Bynum? He stunk with Cleveland, but is that going to be the wakeup call he needed - and did he stink partly because he was rusty coming back from injury? 26 years old with $$$something to prove.

I know I saw this somewhere else, but couldn't find it.

The Wiz are reportedly bringing in Roddy Beaubois for a workout. Seraphin Instagrammed a picof he and Roddy hanging out earlier today -- there seems to be a prior friendship there, presumably from the French national team.

Beaubois fits Grunfeld's MO -- he's another guy like Webster and Yi who was once highly regarded and is now available dirt cheap. He had a great year as a 21 year old rook and then broke his foot twice and never recovered.

He's a physical freak and has ridiculously long arms.

"The Wizards (25-27) don't have the roster spots with the maximum 15 fully guaranteed contracts. While there may be interest from other NBA teams, it was Beaubois agent, Bouna Ndiaye, who called the Wizards to inquire about interest. "

"Don't have the roster spots".....

CUT SINGLETON!!!!!

We have a bunch of perpetual DNP-CD sitting on the bench and then we complain about not having room.

*Sigh* Apparently we will trade for a PG, (Miller/Beno rumors),but we won't cut anyone to create a roster spot. Ok.

If you're trading for Miller, you're probably trading at least 2 players just to make salaries match so that leaves an open roster spot.

The part apart them not having roster spots isn't sourced -- meaning, Michael is just stating the obvious. I don't take it as any sign of the fact that we wouldn't cut someone to create room for a PG if need be.

I think they'd cut Singleton and if he were to have any type of injury setback I think they'd cut Harrington too.
