He was actually a -2 for the game.... Of course that stat can be misleading ...

 This thread should of never been made.

Lol! I actually agree. It's a stupid thread but tonight's game wasn't like so epic that someone's thread should be locked.

36-13-9 game winning 3 is pretty great.

I'm sure if you think really hard about it, you can see why it should be locked.

No doubt!

Idano to me a thread should only be locked if its way off topic, offensive or plain confrontational. If its just a stupid thread just let it die of natural causes....

Just because people don't like others opinions doesn't mean they should be censored.

Just like KD having a good month doesn't make him the best player. It's not like he won 4 MVPs, 2 Rings and 2 Finals MVPs.

(did you really just use +/- as statistic to evaluate LeBron's game?! According to +/- Roy Hibbert is the best player in the NBA...)

Your post agreed with every word I said....

One game doesn't matter, body of work does. KD is having a MVP season, lebron is the best player in the NBA to date, +/- is misleading....

Not sure where we differ I guess.

I think it really comes down to this. LeBron has the ability to play all 5 positions. He also has the ability to guard all-5 positions. There aren't many players you can say that about, ever.

Then you add his otherworldly skill in terms of shot creation, for teammates and himself and you're talking about truly rarified territory. He may not be the pure scorer Durant is, but he can do so many things so few players have ever been able to do that really, until he puts together an extended stretch where both offense and defense sputter you have to call him the best in the league.

The fact that it's up for debate is a testament to Durant's ability, which is also incredible, and the general fatigue of LeBron's dominance.

Eclipsing as in Lebron being 1a and durant 1b.

I'm not here to troll. I think Lebron is one of the the most interesting physical specimens the nba has ever seen. No one has had is combination of strength and speed. And not to mention his passing ability is uncanny. Truly one for the ages. But I believe every superstar has his rival as champions in the NBA often come in pairs. Russell and chamberlain, magic and bird, and the two-thousands were lucky enough to have three: Duncan, kobe, and shaq. Fun fact: from 1999 until 2011, the nba finals did not have a finals that didn't feature one of the last three mentioned.

With all that said, I also don't think we've ever seen a physical specimen like Durant with his size and shooting skill. To be able to consistently get the shots he does at almost 7 feet tall is un...real.

2000s is more than few guys. you have 4 players in LeBron's era over 30 PER excluding guys you mentioned and 6 to 8 players at 30 ppg. that's much tougher than the 90's with few hof here and there. durant not 7 feet it's optic illusion being thin or so. LeBron is goat!

pretty much. don't get carried away by stats. to me mvp doesn't matter for LeBron this season. he'll definitely have mvp performance the rest of the way after all star break. that's the main solution to get into winning shape as far as HCA goes. you see if LeBron wants to put up 30 plus in 11 consecutive games, he can do that. if he wants to drop 47 a couple of times just go out there looking to get the ball, he'll do that. why doesn't he? it's not all about stats for him. he proved so much more than durant with all those sexy ass scoring titles. he only have one but the greatness lies within the grasp of how much pressure was put on this guy, publicizing his failures as much exaggerated as it was blowing things out of proportion. just imagine if he was the guy on that blue team choking against grizz. will people still believe he's clutch? what about the fact that durant misses 67% of his shots in crunch time. what about the fact LeBron shot better ft% in crunch time. He's beyond criticism right now and just chill. durant became much like a bitch who whines about stats. there's nothing to panic about. who knows. when russ returns, that may cost them some chemistry, lose some games. And yes dwyane can rest as much games as needed. i just don't see any reason why he plays. i do wish LeBron gets a payback shuts up these hypes!
