BOS gets: Nelson, Afflalo,Harris and 2014+2016 1sts
ORL gets: Rondo,Wallace
(I'm basing my trade ideas on the multiple reports saying we want 2 firsts)

Re: Rondo Trade Rumors & Ideas (update pg 8)
Well, looks like LAL, HOU, and SAC are a few of those teams hoping no one (e.g., Sota and Love) acts as a seller to Ainge.
Yikes, 15 pages of a Rondo rumor on a HOU site from what seems to be a credible source. Looks like I'm committed to reading that beast as deadline craziness is upon us, but anyone have a short summary of the thread in the meantime?

Woah, seems like they like Parsons as much as we all liked Al Jefferson before the KG trade.

Re: Rondo Trade Rumors & Ideas (update pg 8)
I wouldn't doubt that Ainge and Morey are talking Rondo. But ultimately I think Ainge goes with one of the bad teams with high picks-- the Lakers, the Kings, etc.
Houston doesn't have a top lotto pick to offer. They guys they'd include-- some combo among Lin, Asik, Parsons, Jones-- would likely keep Boston an average, at least non-terrible team, lowering Boston's chances to tank for a top pick. Hell, they might even get the Celtics into the playoffs given how bad the East is and that's likely not a good rebuilding move.
If the Celtics are going to trade Rondo, shouldn't they go completely with young guys and draft picks?

So, will Chandler Parsons neutralize Ainge's boner for Gordon Hayward?

Damn, seems like Ainge has a million balls in the air, talking to half the league about blowing his team up and talking to the other half of the league about moves that could take him contention and the luxury tax. Is he just going to take the best offer or does he have a preference of direction? Can't wait for our own insiders to weigh in....

I have to doubt this guy because Sacramento can't trade any first rounders.

Spoiler:
Ha, maybe they'd help Olynyk's game with the ladies?
From the Rocket's forum:
"experience doesn't always matter a guy like rondo helped take celtics to finals as a rookie"
Apparently a recent quote from Morey when making a statement to season ticket holders.

They have to get another one, for sure. Or make it part of a 3-way. The protection on the pick owed to the Bulls is problematic, but not impossible in terms of likely getting a first in either 2017 or 2018. Just has to be 2 years after the Bulls get theirs.

From what I understand, Sac can't trade their pick this year until the draft order is set, but I'm not 100% sure about that. To me, they seem like a potential trade partner in the offseason but not now.

Yes, they could draft for us as a Stepian Rule workaround. Agreed. I just don't think Kings can come that high on a guy who will very likely leave in a year. The lakers and rockets seem like much more logical trade partners if Ainge can get his price.

Re: Rondo Trade Rumors & Ideas (update pg 8)
Just finished reading that thread on clutchfans, wowzers they value Parsons.
Trading for Rondo makes sense for Houston, but why the hell would we do it? Unless there is more going on behind the scenes with Rondo it makes zero sense. Our best player for maybe a 3rd option at best on a contender? They both have the same amount of years left on their contracts and both will be looking to get paid, my preference would be to pay Rondo every day of the week.
This doesn't have Danny's fingerprints on it IMO.

Thread is not worth reading beyond what caveman already provided. If you want to read incessant ballwashing of Mr. Parsons, feel free to read it though. I think 95% of that board would refuse to trade parsons for rondo straight up, with most of them only willing to think about dealing Parsons for Love.

That board is a train wreck beyond their insiders. It's like a girl fight in there, and suuuuuuper homertastic (lol @ calling Rondo an upgraded Beverly or not wanting to deal Parsons for him).
I believe the guy that these are what the GMs in question are looking for. That doesn't mean they will get it, nor should it be taken that way IMO.

The one post in the thread (beyond the source) that I liked was the idea that Morey leaked this out to boost Rondo's value as a nod to ainge, perhaps for being such a twit with the asik deal. May explain the info relating to the Sacto deal being shared through the same source and consistent with Lowe's report.

Re: Rondo Trade Rumors & Ideas (update pg 8)
All I know is Jones or Parsons is what Boston wants. Like I said a while back things will warm up. But even warm food gets cold. I still like my 65 to 70 chance this gets done. DM is a smart man. Trust him he won't give up a ranch for a cow
From another seemingly reputable fellah over there.
But IMHO Rondo right now would not be equal value for Asik in the number crunching minds of today's front offices. Why would he be? Rondo, coming off an injury, plays at a position that has more talent today than any position ever in the history of the NBA.
And a taste of the sheer idiocy.

I think Parsons is basically what Jeff Green is but in a better situation.

I would trade Rondo every opportunity I got if it made us better, but all these ideas make the other team better and sets us back years. Nothing Ainge has ever said or done has suggested this was his method of rebuilding.
Wyc was on ESPN radio last week and mentioned the rebuild process and he specifically talked about how we built prior to the Big 3 era and how it worked. Young guys get minutes and play well, have additional assets, move any combination and get better. That is specifically on their mind. Now all of a sudden we are trading Rondo for a 2018 1st round draft pick?
