Would anyone want to revisit the trade? Everyone so far is selling low on Lowry because of his contract situation.

i would be beyond pumped if this trade happened. bogs is our last real chip to trade, but lowry is well worth it imo. i think the guy is gonna have another big breakout next year and would thrive in a bigger market. guy is the bulldog we need. were not losing to bad teams with him on the roster. you play him and dwill together and move livingston to the second unit and you've got a whole new dynamic with this squad

Let's not get our hopes up with this one. This would be too good.

This trade would be awful and makes no sense unless Deron is being dealt immediately afterwords.

It's not awful at all IMO. You start Lowry with Livingston and Deron comes off the bench. Lowry is a capable scorer as is Deron and Livingston serves as a facilitator. Only thing is I believe there are better options such as the potential combination of Hill/Jack except that would cost 17 million in luxury taxes plus you have the potential to go after a PF like Young and see if Philly would trade him.

The only way I would deal Deron is if we can somehow fool a team like the Cavs into trading Kyrie for him or even OKC trading Westbrook. Westbrook although is a risk, he did come back already and played well.

i think it works well, start lowy next to livingston and bring dwill off the bench like he was doing when he came back from injury.

or, better yet, just trade williams for as close to expiring money as possible

It's a Billy King style trade and you guys should give that long hard thought before saying how much you love it.

Trade our last big remaining asset, a guy 20 teams are interested in, a guy rumored to be worth a lottery pick in a great draft, for a player who is soon to be an unrestricted free agent, who wants to start, who wants a huge pay day, while our best player plays the same position and we can't afford any long term deals to begin with to clog the cap in 2015 and 2016.

What could go wrong?!

Ok, come up with a better plan using Bogs rights. I agree, 20 out of 30 teams is definitely a good thing since it increases trade options, but we're talking about a specific scenario with Toronto and Kyle Lowry is worth it. Heck, if Toronto really wants to start from scratch, find a way to pry both Ross with Lowry. Unlikely but the additions of Hill/Jack/Lowry/Ross make this team contenders.

Outside of these options, I would really look into seeing if Minny is willing to part ways with Kevin if they want Bojan. They are probably one of the 20 so why not at least discuss the possibility if your Billy

if we can get a lotto pick for bogs, do it... i just dont see the return on the guy. but if we can get a pick we should, since he is 25 and we could use a young 20 year old with real potential.

short of that, i love this trade. i dont care what position dwill plays, because he isnt as good as lowry at this point. id have no issue giving lowry a 4 year deal as well. he would make far less then dwill is due in 2016. just dump dwill at the soonest possible juncture and were fine in 2016.

getting a younger, better, cheaper player then dwill sounds like a good move to me

According to Woj, Nets reach a serious stage in trade talks with Kings about Thornton, per Nets daily comment section.
