^ I remember that play, Rio was at the wing 3 on the weak side. That pass was freaking weird and impossible. I thought it made it through by mistake.

Mark Cuban still crying about the refs in 2006. When will he accept that his team's strategy was to intentionally double/triple team and foul Shaq which made it easier for Wade to get FT?

He didn't have any problems with the BS fouls they were calling on Lebron in 2011. Be happy with your 1 ring and the self induced hole you dug yourself after that.

So Cuban says "he hates the heat' and now I hear the announcers say "they hate the heat" - I wonder if there are any other owner(s) that would publicly make that kind of statement.....

It just caught me by surprise while watching the game again to hear the MAVS announcer mention it in the 1st qtr..Plus I now know that one of the announcers played for Riley and said he's one of the best persons he's met, yet...following Cuban, he now HATES the heat.

oh well...just an observation

It's easier to live in a narrative rather to accept that we played better, Wade had one of the best Finals series of all time and they choked when it mattered.

Last night was a good example of GOOD Spo.

We needed Spo to counter the Mav's size and instead of going small down the stretch, he kept Birdman in and it made a huge differnce. Birdman was active on both sides of the court and clearly deserved minutes over Battier/Ray/Beasley.

I'm torn on this issue.

I blame SPo just as much as LeBron for that series. His rotations were awful and he looked about as clueless as LeBron in terms of attacking Dallas's zone. The Refs didnt give him calls either. He only got to the FT line 2 or 3 times a game. Wade was amazing.....and LeBron did way too much watching. Like he didnt trust himself to close it after blowing the 2nd game.

On paper...We should be going for a 4 peat right now.

However, if LeBron didnt get destroyed by the media for his Dallas performance.....does he pull off the Game 6 vs. the Celtics? Would a championship have made him be more capable of doing that...or less? We'll never know. You could see the desperation in LeBron eyes in the 4th Qrt of game 6 against the Spurs he went all out. He screwed up with the two costly turnovers....but luckily Ray made the shot. But it was LeBron who even gave a shot. He just refused to be blamed for losing another championship.

We'll always wonder why? But winning more championships eases the pain.

Yep...sometimes the ball bounces our way sometimes it doesn't. We beat Boston in 7 in the 2012 ECF and we actually should have lost that series because there was a clear foul on Rondo earlier in the series at the end of the game (I think the game where Rondo had 45 points) which would have allowed Boston to win that series, but the refs didn't call it giving us the win.

Also last season we were a hair away from losing the finals in 6 and we were one lebron bucket away from losing to Indy in the ECF (we won in 7 and remember in game 1 we beat Indy because of Lebron's last second game winning layup). We easily could have won the 2011 finals, but we just as easily could have came up empty in 2012 and 2013. For me the 2013 finals erased the 2011 finals. That 2013 finals was improbable. With that said, the refs were clearly against us in both the 2011 and 2013 finals (I have no idea why though).

Though I'd be lying if I wouldn't relish the thought of facing the Mavs in the finals again. There is no team I want to face more than them though I doubt they reach the finals unless Dirk gives it one last hurrah and they make a deadline trade to improve their roster.

My theory on LeBron's struggles goes like this.

1. He lost his jumper (He was deadly in the Boston and Chicago series)
2. He lost...the refs giving him calls he's gotten all season. Under 3 FTs game??? C'mon. He was attacking.
3. He lost his confidence
4. Spo had no answers/counters for this.

He didnt trust his jumper...he wasnt getting any calls that a superstar of his caliber normally gets when he did attack the rim (not to mention getting called for charging a bunch of times)

And after game 2...he lost his confidence. He had no counters himself and Spo damn sure didnt have them.

It took him failing....to improve his game and his mindset. Because as much as Spo has improved as a coach (Going small) ....LeBron had to truly figures out the answers himself as well.

Thats bs! There's no guarantee that rajon rando would have hit those free throws because he's a horrible free throw shooter almost Shaq like

Could you imagine the blowouts if we boxed out??

Damn. Our defense is picking up but rebounding holding us back from dominating the **** out of teams.

people need to understand the defense Miami plays and stop whining about being outrebounded. Miami switches so often they almost play a zone, and one of the weaknesses of a zone is that it is harder to rebound. the options for the heat: don't complete rotations, hang back and wait for the rebound or complete the rotation and contest the shot and rebound as a team. the former has proven statistically to yield worse results than what the heat do, which is the latter.
