I found this funny...

C.Webb (ATL)

Do the Hawks do anything at the deadline? Ferry is a smart GM, but I am confused that we aren't sellers and playing for the lotto. With Horford out, doesn't it make sense to dangle Teague, Korver, Lou Williams, even Millsap?
Chad Ford (1:36 PM)

Hard to get into the lotto in the Eastern Conference right now! Way easier to make the playoffs. With that said, I think all the guys you mention can be had for the right price. Danny Ferry knows this isn't the team you build around going forward.

For almost every team. Even the Wizards can make making the playoffs during an incredibly weak year seem like were trying to climb Mt. Everest.

Even if it's only one and done in the playoffs, we need to start winning at some point. Our young guys need playoff experience, and we need to show the Durants of the world that we're one central piece away from being a legit contender. Another year in the lottery doesn't help, and besides I don't think Wiggins/Parker will be all that to be honest. This is no 03 draft class.

It doesn't matter. We will be in the lottery next year because this GM will get a new contract and this fan base can't suffer through another 2-3 years OF THAT.

I'd rather see the team collapse while healthy and lose out most of these games and miss the playoffs. It'd be nice to keep the 2014 pick, but I'm not too mad about that right now. That's a tall order in the East.

Positive press for our players is always a good thing. The national, and local, line on Washington should be that the Wizards would be contenders if they added a star big (and a defensive center and a third guard). So, our goal as fans should be to get the media to both see the potential and help actualize it by putting pressure on management to make bold, championship seeking, moves.
