All four ties basically settled in the first leg. It's a shame.

What a header from Muller.

Lahm is so quality. Carvajal isn't on the same tier but it makes me happy that there are similarities in their game.

he was so open i think even a striker from one of the london teams could've scored that

A striker from one of the London teams has 8 goals and 3 assists in 11 matches this season.

not a bad game by Milan. Taraabt is one of the most...unique...players i've ever seen. He had moments of absolute brilliance with his dribbling today. It is obvious he is a very talented player, but he has 0 soccer IQ.

I give Milan a 33% chance to advance because Montolivo will be back and Balotelli could pull something outta his butt

Why would you go in a tackle like that? Absolutely a red card.

he tried to make a save and then pulled out but the contact was inevitable. The penalty is enough punishment.. why is the red called? its such a stupid rule. Double punishment.

I only had one eye on the game, but both PKs seemed legit and same with the red card.. was he really that bad?

edit i just read your previous post. I agree with the red card decision because I think it was a goal scoring opportunity denied?
but I feel your pain, Arsenal and City both got very unlucky with the way these games played out

I don't know why Szczesny went low; if he had collided with Robben's upper body it would have been a 50-50 which always goes the keepers way. Instead he hit his leg which is a pretty clear red.

it's near impossible to comeback after that double punishment rule. It ended the game basically. It's a stupid rule IMO

This is wrong. Ozil is a better 10 than Kroos, neither are suited to play on the wing. But what's most wrong is the thinking that it's either or. We need to utilize both to get the most out of this squad. Kroos in a midfield triangle, either pep's inverted triangle, or at the tip of a traditional slant, and Ozil operating in front of him as the false 9. But we should utilize both, Kroos is just such a great shooter and so great at moving around to maintain possession and force teams to defend open spaces.
