Not going to read every post in this thread but Olynyc has been underwhelming so far. I am not even going to call him a bust because the bust label should strictly be reserved for people picked top five in the draft not a player that was picked 13th in the draft.

Right. That's why he was one of only 8 rookies that played in a basketball game this past weekend. Total bust.

Means nothing,really.

Omri Casspi
Jonny Flynn
Jonas Jerebko
Just to name a few no names that have been invited to play in that exhibition game.

It's funny....Olynyk has a game or two where he played UP to an average game and everybody is wanting to jump on the bandwagon.

You know who else had a couple of good games in a Celtics uniform? Shavlik Randolph.

Where is he at?

Exactly.

As far as on court....he need to stop being a damn pussy. If he's only gunna take exhibition games seriously.....then seriously get him on the next flight outta Logan. Give him fab Melos phone number just for good measure.

lol I used to say something about lesbians too, even added that I did not wanna offend anyone, my post got deleted.

Guess you better say nothing about possible 'offenses', then people don't get offended. =]

I have no inside info. We shouldn't talk about it any more because everyone else is going to be very pissed if it happens. Indeed, if we talk about it, it may not happen at all. I really shouldn't have posted this much.

Some people suffered from high expectations with Olynyk. Guy went to Gonzaga.

Outside of Stockton there isn't much. He could be the second best guy from that school.. Ainge was going for 'not a bust' with this pick.. I don't think he thought he was drafting the next Brad Miller - never mind the next Kevin Love.

Looking at the draft results so far, he'd be re-drafted right now in the top 5, at least. So he's far from the "not a bust" label.

He's going to be a solid pro for years to come, if not more than that.

Without Noel...

1) Oladipo or MCW...take your pick
2) loser of 1...for me, it would be MCW. Oladipo has more upside IMO
3) CJ McCollum - best shooter out of the entire draft
4) Trey Burke - if he didn't play for Utah, he'd be the leading candidate for rookie of the year
5) Plumlee

Probably 5 or 6 for me....Olynyk - 7 footer who can shoot it, will be solid for 10+

Most have Giannis in the top 5, I don't. Underwhelming so far, but in 3 years who knows where the development lands.

The entire class has underwhelmed. Gotta get back to this one 3/4 years down the road & see whose standing.

funny that you call one (at age 23) top 5 prospect and the other (at 19) underwhelming
stats are close, each has advantage in some fields. Olynik is a turncoat on defense, while Giannis has the tools of a great defender and faciliatator.
I think Olynik would go close to where he was drafted in redraft. ok pick, nothing special.
for celtics needs it was a weird pick at that time and remains like that.
if we drafted Giannis, we'd all be salivating about his potential right now.

Id be happy with Giannis but im also happy with Olynyk. I dont see either one being bad in the future.

Not really that funny. Funnier thing is re-drafting after half a year.

Talk to me down the road...say 3/4 years.
