Only 5 losses separate the Grizzlies who are picking in the lottery and the Blazers. It's a major longshot but it hints at the potential hidden value of the Blazers pick. And it looks like the Pistons will fall to 8 behind the Cavs and Knicks. The pick will move to top-1 protected. You have to feel good about that.

That would quite possibly make it the most desired trade chip in the league this offseason and possibly into next season if they get off to a lousy start. I hate to engage in hyperbole but there's no telling what we could get for that pick if we end up not getting it this year. I would hate to trade that away for pretty much anybody we have been linked to over the last few days just to get a little better (maybe) this year.

Imagine if Parker and Embiid return along with a sleeper like LaVine. Sprinkle in a little Okafor.

With Stuckey, Villanueva, and Monroe coming off the books, won't they have like 20+ million in capspace to reload this offseason?

Let's say they sign 20 million worth of players that actually fit their team and then add their top-8 pick, add a new head coach, move Drummond and Smith to their natural positions, maybe KCP improves in Soph season, etc... they could be pretty solid next year.

they could have done all these things last off season and they traded for jennings and signed smith to be a SF...I dont know how anyone can have faith that they will make smart decisions now without getting lucky.

no Afflalo but Neal still in the mix

though the Charlotte Bobcats are interested in acquiring Arron Afflalo prior to the NBA trade deadline Thursday, Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports that they're "unlikely" to pry him from the Orlando Magic. In addition to Afflalo, Charlotte has also targeted Anthony Morrow of the New Orleans Pelicans and Gary Neal of the Milwaukee Bucks to fill its need for wing scoring. Berger pegs Neal as "still in play" for Charlotte.

Pistons didn't make a single move. I thought they would try to trade Monroe for a SF. I guess they are sticking with the roster they have.

:o We want the Pistons win/loss record to be around .500 the remaining games for rest of the season. The Hawks are dropping and BYN,Cleveland, are rising. We should make the 7th or 8th seed and lose our 2014 protected pick to Chicago. Detroits pick is top 8 protected and I think we will get it at 12. We will get Portlands pick and it should be around 24.

At 12 we should pick Rodney Hood SF/SG if available or PJ Hairston SG
At 24 and At 45 We should bundle the picks with Hendo,Bwood, and trade for trade checker#6437474 Afflalo ORL
I would also sign Gordon Hayward to FA 2-3 year contract 8-10 mil
"""""""""""""""""""""" Veteran Point Guard TO FA minmum
Resign MCBob 2-3 year ? $?
Expirings,Gordon, Ridhour,Tolliver, CDR,

Next Season Team
KW,VET point, Pargo (if Ridhour does well resign him to a 1 year contract)
Afflalo, (Hood or Hairston,) Neal
Hayward,MKG, ( JT )
MCBOB,Zellar, PF undrafted or from Dleague
Al, Biz, C undrafted or from Dleague

If we take PJ Hairston with the 12th pick, I will throw everything i own and shatter every window in my house. There's a slight chance PJ Hairston would be available by our 2nd round pick. Worst case scenario, he's available with the Portland pick.

Good God it would be a travesty if we took Hairston with a 12th pick.

 I'm right there with you. Fortunately, PJ is pretty much the antithesis of a Cho guy so we shouldn't have too much to worry about. I'd much rather have McDermott with the Detroit pick.

McDermott will be a good fit *if* he can show during workouts that he wont be a complete liability guarding NBA SF's.

He guarded NBA SFs during team USA workouts last summer and was said to have done outstanding.

I'd love Mcdermott if he was in a SG mold and was a little more athletic. I do like him, just feel like we need a SG more. We have a lotta flexibility when it comes to the offseason. I'd really love to see us grab Lance Stephenson if possible, but I don't know what Indy plans to do to put themselves in position to sign him. Maybe ET will play well for them and they'll sign him for cheaper and let Lance go? We'll just have to wait and see. Gary Harris and Zach Lavine are my two favorite guys for the Detroit pick as of now. I feel like if the Detroit pick is 9th or 10th, getting Doug is just a slight reach. If possible, I'd wouldn't mind trading Detroit and Portland pick for two picks in between that and grabbing Doug and PJ if possible. PJ Hairston is gonna be a good NBA player if he comes in and puts in the effort I know that for sure. Doug's scoring game is great, just doesn't add a whole bunch to the table outside of that. It would be nice to see him really hit the gym in the offseason and put on a lotta pounds and make him more of a force in the post and inside.

i would draft McBuckets start him at SF and start MKG at SG he has the best all-around offensive game in the NCAA he would be the PERFECT with MKG and that also means Gerald can be the new 6th man and he can do his iso crap and not murder the offense

I like McDermott. He's definitely moved up my rankings this season, and I'd probably take him with Detroit's pick assuming one of the big names doesn't fall.

I certainly would rather have McDermott than Rodney Stuckey 2.0.

Y'all can keep your minds fixated on McDermott with the Detroit pick but I'm assuming Cho got his mind set on Vonleh. Lol

He's going to be gone before the Detroit pick IMO. He's coming up.

We still have the Portland pick. I'm sure he's planning on using it to move up 3-5 spots before drafting two rookies to add to our already young roster.
