I actually think Hecking is doing a very good job.

Im not really high on Hecking. I think Wolfsburg have underachieved a bit so far.

They have so much offensive potential but for some reason they have scored only 35 times.

Well, he has an awful lot of work to do in the next few years then.

If the meddlesome board is gone though, slomka is a great start. If they get the right guy in, they could quickly turn themselves around with their revenues, but getting that right guy in probably won't happen.

You kind of need a striker to score goals, and while Arnold and Diego/deBruyne are aweseome, they don't have too much offensive fire power that's being wasted given Olic has started most of their games with bost being the alternative.

Wolfsburg should have been better in the first half of the season, there's no doubt about that. But I wouldn't blame Hecking, there were a lot of things going wrong. Wolfsburg had a player sent off 5 times already...

Semi-OT: Klopp has officially reached superstar status. Bushido has dissed him in his new CD.

Maybe this tie against PSG will help Leverkusen officials to realize that they need to buy more than 5 quality players.

Can't rely on the likes of Hilbert to have a chance against quality teams.

Then again I don't have much hope since the officials didn't realize it after the humiliation Barca gave them a few years back either.

I hope Wolfsburg will be playing in the CL next year instead of Leverkusen.

Much more enjoyable to see them get crushed for their stupidity. :D

That said I do think they'll end up snagging Holtby or Kroos to give them the 10 to control things that they so desperately need.

I'd rather not trade one plastic for another. Gladbach need to take that 4th spot and spend cleverly in the summer.

As much as I love Favre, I would take Wolfsburg over Gladbach.

Why? They're a worse team, they have a worse coach, they are a worse club, they do a worse job of bringing young talents through. All Wolfsburg have on Gladbach is money, which should be a reason for you to root for Gladbach to snag those CL funds. Plus Gladbach would do better for our coefficient as they'd do much better in the CL than Wolfsburg.

I just don't see how they are a worse team and why they would do worse in the CL :dontknow:

Because they've been extremely healthy while Gladbach have had a ridiculous injury crisis on D that's led them to play their starting RB at CB, and the teams are still very close, all with Favre not yet leaning on Hrgota, Younes, Dahoud and Sinan.

If Gladbach get Sommer, Schar and Seferovic to replace MAtS and LdJ they'll be much better than Wolfsburg can be barring the purchase of Costa or Mandzukic.

The greatest rapper ever (tm) said that he would "stuff Klopp's Birkenstock shoes down his throat". Or something like that. I don't read enough Bild Zeitung to be perfectly informed.

Comment: you know that you have lost all street credibility if your next CD is proudly featured in the Bild Zeitung. Featured Bild stars: Helene Fischer, Heino, DSDS... Bushido and Böhse Onkelz

German rap is like American beer anyway. Sh*t.

Their offense, especially Kruse, have been off target the last few games. Nothing they couldn't fix but if you score only 2 goals in 4 games you can't win.

These next two games against Hoffenheim and in Braunschweig should give them plenty of opportunities to get back on track, though. If they can't score against these teams it's time to start worrying, though.

Speaking of, Schalke have signed Avdijaj to a new extension witha buyout clause around 50M. So we should be hearing a lot of EPL rumors about him this summer...

As for the race to fourth, don't leave out Leverkusen, they're only 3 up on Schalke, finished the first half poorly, have started this half poorly and just got neutered by PSG. If Gladbach and/or Wolfsburg can get going they'll close that gap quickly before leverkusen recovers.
