I can't bear to even look at the draft/draft threads (sorry didn't even read through this one) because we're not going to even have a damn pick in it. All because Gores is cheap and Dumars is stupid.

Exum and Ennis are the only two PG's worth top 10 picks in this draft IMO.
But the one thing that scares me is given how KCP has been jerked around, I question whether our pick (should we keep it) will even see much valuable game time or if yet again we will be chasing the playoffs.

Truthfully, we probably won't get our pick this year. So I guess this should limit our draft speculation threads to top three picks only, 'cuz either we'll wind up catching lightning in a bottle and scoring a top pick or else we'll be sending it to Charlotte. And of the top three, I'm fine with any of Wiggins, Parker or Exum, and would probably rank them in that order (we obviously have no need for Embiid).
Not to threadjack, but since Spider brought up Stephenson … does anyone else see the Pacers' acquisition of Turner today not just to mean that they're pushing all-in for the title this year, but that they're hedging their bets for free agency? They've now got Stephenson as a UFA and hold Turner's rights as a RFA, and I can't see any conceivable way they keep both. Perhaps Tuner is a backstop to losing Stephenson, since they can match any offer? Of, if they do strike a long term deal with Stephenson, it means Turner will absolutely be hitting the open market? Either way, I think it means both guys are definitely in play.

Let's say we keep our pick. Say we get the 7th pick, for argument's sake.....
Would you do Monroe/#7 to Philly for Thad Young and their pick??

Exum is the only player I want outside of Wiggins and Parker.

How so CGC? I thought Jabari was a lot more ready bball skill wise than Wiggins.

Doug Mcdermott could be a steal, i would definitely want him over moose and then trade moose for SF

We aren't getting 8!!!!

Re: If we have our pick, who might be a Dre/Monroe type slid
If we get 7th/8th my guess is Rodney Hood will be the pick.
He's not a Drummond caliber player, but would fit what we need in a scoring/shooting SF and is projected in that range.
Probably the next best SF after Wiggins/Parker too. It kind of reminds me of when Wall/Bledsoe came out together, and Bledsoe got rated much lower because he was playing in Wall's shadow but ended up still a really good player even if not a star.
If we could finish 5th though and get a lucky draw in the lotto into the top 4 that would be awesome. It seems like there's a foursome of potential superstars this draft much like 2003. After that though you start looking at Chris Kaman type players, which is probably the caliber Rodney Hood will end up being, but Kaman was still a really good player in his prime.

He's been really bad defensively and he looks too slow to guard college 3s. He might turn into a tweener.

He'd have to learn how to shoot first.

Want no part of McDermott either. He's a 6'8" unathletic PF seeing as to how he would not be able to guard NBA SFs, not at all.
Wiggins will be an NBA SF. If anything, he might be more of a SG/SF tweener at the moment....but should be a SF long-term.
