It's just business. Thanks for all the trips to the charity stripe and wild layups. They will be missed.

Ramon Sessions will be appreciated in my memoir of him as a part of the Charlotte Bobcats, but I'm guessing Cho & Co. got just as tired of his kamikaze attack-the-rim style of play as I did. Much respect to Sessions

I think we knew we weren't going to resign him at his current salary level. The choice was who fits our roster better for the rest of the season - Ridnour + Neal or Sessions + Adrien. With Ridnour we get a second string QB who will look to involve teammates. Neal will probably take Sessions' spot as first guard off the bench with the 1st line, and gives us a better outside shooter.

I think the new guys just fit better.

What if we offered Ramon $4.5m of Ridnour's expiring at the end of the year? I mean he is a free agent. haha. I'm sure the bridge is fairly burned though.

I doubt the bridge is burned. Ramon's been on about half the teams in the league. I think he's just on the opposite end of his career and he was a poor fit behind Kemba. We needed passing and shooting on the team and those are Ramon's weakest traits as a PG.

I feel sad for Sesh. Him being from North Carolina and finding a home here with us. Not many people will think that way about or franchise.

Won't we have to wait 12 months to sign him again?

In any case, he didn't fit here this year. Our system needed three point shooters and we got one in Ridnour.

I just saw a interview from Ramon Sessions post-trade, and he doesn't look near as bitter as I thought he would. As always, Sessions was cool, calm, and collected --- a consummate pro

Can we please change the name of this thread to "Ramon Sessions watch"

We will probably at least make an attempt to sign him in free agency which would be a smart move imo.

I'm not going to lie and say I'm a fan of his hero ball antics but he is one of the best backup points in the league imo and if we can sign him again upto 5m, then I would do it in a heartbeat if I were Cho and Co.

We should keep track of him for free agency purposes imo.

If I was Ramon and busted my ass to help a team try to make the playoffs and was traded they would have to severely overpay for me to come back to them. Thats just me, though.

As long as we offered him the right deal then I'm sure that all will be forgiven.

He's close to Myrtle Beach in Charlotte and most likely owns a house in the area already.

It's never personal...Just business. I'm sure he wouldn't mind coming back if we offered him a contract. After all I think he's from NC anyway.

Some Sesh news that involve some funny Bonnell incompetence

I think he's coming back. For the record, he's from Myrtle Beach (south carolina), and when I was down there in mid-May for vacation I heard an advertised appearance from Ramon on the radio. Naturally I went, and I asked him if he would consider going back to Charlotte this summer. He said of course

There was an article before last season of him being happy about finally finding an NBA home. One which is also close to his real home.

I'm glad that he's a pro about it since it generally seems like he wants to come back. It must be a bit insulting that they rented him out to Milwaukee when he probably was hyped about making the playoffs with this bunch.

It makes me wonder whether this would produce a couple of awkward moments between Neal and Sesh.

I don't feel like finding it but I saw a tweet this AM indicating that the Hornets were interested in Sessions. I LOLed at Bonnell when I saw it.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I'm on board with bringing Sessions back as well. Swapping him for Ridnour was more of a blow to the second unit than I expected. If the price is right, he's a solid player.

I'd really prefer to go a different direction, but Sessions wouldn't be the worst option for us.

I know someone who gets to go back and meet the players as part of their season ticket package and Sessions told them before he left that he loved the proximity to his home from here. Let's bring him back.
