Good Luck and Thanks Danny. One of my favorite Pacers for several years. He was about the only thing that made them watchable during the JOB years. To bad injuries ended his Pacer career.

I'll root hard for him as long as he's not playing the Pacers (or ends up on the Heat).

It does hurt; he gave Pacer fans like myself something to be proud of during the down years after the brawl. He deserves a championship more than any player on our roster. All the game winners; and game defining moments he had; if only the team around him was better. And now that it finally is; he gets traded. Just a reminder that the NBA is a business. A player like Granger shouldve retired in IND. My biases aside; I think this was the wrong move. Evan Turner is not a great three point shooter. He is a slasher. And I dont know that he can defend Wade or James in the Post any better than Granger can. Not to mention the chemistry issues this move just presented. With guys like Hibbert and Bynum the perimeter guys should all be capable of knocking down three point shots.

3-point shooting can always be improved upon. If a guy like Rondo, who went from no jumpshot to respectable 3-point shooter, can do that, then almost anyone can. If you can't, then it must be because you're not practicing enough.

It's a business. We traded him. It's his right to sign wherever provides him the best opportunity possible. I doubt he'd go there purely out of spite. If he goes there, it's because he feels that's the best spot for him, and he can't legally re-sign here, as guys could back in the day. That's it.

DG was my fave Pacer post-Reggie
and pre-PG. He will be missed greatly.

He may not get a ring with us this year,

The math wouldn't work for a deal of Cope and S. Hill for Turner. It would have put the Pacers in the Lux tax. I would have loved to see a deal moving Cope not because I dislike him but to free up money next year to help sign Lance. We'd have been taking $2 million more than we gave them.

Kind of reminds me of the red Sox winning it all after trading Nomar, but they really did need that upgrade, and they were no where near the best team in the league.

Either of the Clips or Spurs would be a good choice for him.

Spurs got remarkable mileage out of Robert Horry at the end of his career. I think it makes a lot of sense for Danny (like Horry) to transition to the 4. The best game I've seen him play since his return was the LA game where West got ejected. Danny played the entire second half at the 4 and held his own against Blake Griffin.

Pop clearly knows how use a guy like that effectively. Going to the Spurs would be a good career move and probably give him his best opportunity to get a ring.

By the way, I haven't posted in here since the trade. Let me say that I will always appreciate what Danny did for this club. I will keep rooting for him in his new home. If we win a title this season then we have to send him a ring as well. Good luck in everything, Danny
