Randle will fall imo, he doesn't have the eye popping athleticism in terms of the combine and his game won't show up in workouts.

I see him falling like Monroe etc.

We could possibly land him with the Detroit pick imo.

Kemba/Christon(?)
Hendo/Neal
MKG/Tolliver
Randle/Zeller
Jefferson/Biyombo

Would be an awesome rebuilding job imo.

I think if we can manage to move all our picks, Zeller, and maybe Hendo to move into the top 5, it'll be a job well done. Say Detroit and Portland come in at 9 and 24, if we trade those two, our 2nd rounder, Zeller, Hendo, and take back some contract to move up into the top 5, can you imagine adding Dante Exum or Andrew Wiggins to this team? :o

I would just be happy if we could draft James Young. He will be the sleeper with all of the talent that will be available later in the lottery like Paul George and Klay Thompson were. I still wouldn't mind Zach Lavine either even though he's fallen. Lavine got game and his sweet stroke jumper still go in the rare times whenever I tune into UCLA games.

trading the farm to move into the top 5 isn't worth it either unless its top 3 which will be nearly impossible

Trading Zeller, Hendo, and picks isn't "the farm".

I agree that it isn't the farm but I agree that it is too much value also.

Exum is an unknown and Wiggins would be great but there is a reason he may go as low as #5.

And whoever we get at those later picks will have reasons they fall to wherever they fall...

I'd love to get Randle if he slips. He'd be so motivated to come out and play after that. If we could sign Lance Stephenson in the offseason we'd be third best in east.

I see Randle falling as well. I've watched quiet a few KY games this season and, although hes very talented he just doesn't jump out at you. Something just seems off. Im not sure.

I approve of this. I think Exum is going to be good. But I doubt anyone trades that pick to us.

No one in the top 5 is moving their picks in this draft.

We also thought it was a sure thing that there would be a trading frenzy and all the tanking teams would empty out their rosters and the good teams would all become better at the deadline. bottom line, is we don't know what GMs are going to do. I thought it was a sure thing that teams were going to shuffle picks all around last year given the sorry state of that draft. If the right deal comes around, any pick can be traded.

I think GMs are becoming a lot more hesitant to trade a known quantity for an unknown quantity, even if everyone thinks the unknown is much better. There's still so much more to this game

If we wound up with say the 9th and 23rd picks I would be surprised if we were able to package them and move any higher than 7-8 and maybe not even that. If that's the case I would probably prefer to stay at 9 with two picks but I guess it would depend on who's available.

If we can't move up with the Portland pick, I'd possibly prefer to trade it out into a couple of 2nd rounders, draft some Euros and stash them overseas.

Nah, I'd rather just draft another shooter or another big body.

So they'll get bench splinters behind Hendo, Gary Neal and Cody "The Cho-sen One" Zeller? Not to mention Viking presumably coming back.

I don't think we should take our chances Randle falls to 9 or 10. Try to trade up with a team with a deep frontcourt like the Jazz. The Celtics have Sullinger. Be aggressive and get Randle. He's a hard worker and a bulldog, a nice complement to Cody who while a hard worker is more of a finesse player. And I think Big Al would be a good influence on the young man. Clifford keeps giving props to the play of Biz and Cody and they've really improved as the season has progressed.

Randle is the guy I want. And if it looks like he won't fall you absolutely have to trade up for him. This team could really hit the jackpot with the addition of Lance Stephenson and Julius Randle.
