Man, I love Ish Smith :D As I said earlier, he is better rebounder than Channing Frye. :P

He'll never be a starter but I think he's gonna have a long career. He's a pros pro who keeps himself ready and teams can always use a bench guard with his speed and passing.

Ish has gotten better at finishing. If he keeps this up, he will make a great backup.

Backup guard Ish Smith, looking like Magic Johnson against the weary Spurs, put on a running and passing show in leading the Suns on a stunning 19-0 run in the second quarter.

Show time in PHX!

At this moment I'm satisfied, more than impressed. As the season has progressed, he has become actually useful. He totally changes the pace of the game and some times that is the answer to a stagnant offense, which as we know is a season long problem.

Any scoring he brings is just gravy, as long as he doesn't make too many attempts. And he is indeed making some difficult layups, which is a good thing since he is a poor shooter, to put it kindly.

I salute his career game against the Spurs, of course.

There was one play last night that I noticed and it solidified my liking for Ish. The Hawks had just made a layup and he took the inbound pass and sprinted his ass down the court beating the defense. The whole Hawks team recovered and collapsed on the driving Ish. He knew he didn't have a shot and stopped, turned and kicked it out to an open Morris on the top of the key for a wide open 3. He had 3 options to pass for open 3's. His hustle and speed is what kills teams and their second units.

Godspeed to Ish. Played hard and gave us some good minutes. I think he'll catch on somewhere.

Shame we had to let him go. I would have liked to stash him in Bakersfield or overseas. He really improved last season and he got so much better at finishing. If he gets an outside shot, he could be a top 10 backup PG.

He is the fastest player in the league. Now you see him, now you don't.
