Billups, Smith reason Cheeks fired?

Found this to be pretty interesting. Josh has the organization's ear. I was really shocked to see that Billups went with Josh.

If this was true, I think Monroe would have been traded and rumors of shopping Josh wouldn't have been around.

This. Also it can't be true because that would mean Joe was in charge of the decision making on Cheeks, and everything that's been reported says it was Gores who made the call and Joe was arguing against it.

Totally agree. Peter Vecsey has made a career of making up rumors and putting words in peoples mouths. The drama Minnesota is going through right now because of him is evident of that. He's a scumbag.

In the 80's & early 90s' Vecsey was the scoop guy... he did have connections in the NY league office... what transpired was he burned bridges and lost trust... NY media deadlines made him become like Sam Smith... he went from the penthouse to the outhouse... it's still likely that he gets a bone tossed his way occasionally... certainly reasonable that someone threw Mo under the bus with good reason.
