The Celtics and Lakers definitely don't have a rivalry this season.

If anything the only thing their "rivaling" for is the chance at the #1 pick.

It's true, there was quite a few people clamoring to give Shannon Brown PT on the suns facebook page last season. Casual fans don't generally don't post on discussion forums, but on social media websites there is plenty of them.

Yes, I'm an idiot. I should've realized that you were simply telling our center, whom we evidently both agree is a very good rebounder and hustle player, that he needs to rebound and hustle.

.......the Celtics and Lakers are permanent rivals and their rivalry status doesn't fluctuate based on the season either team may be having. They're *easily* the biggest rivalry in the NBA and one of the biggest in North American sports.

Christ.

BH, I don't believe this board is good for your heart anymore.

I'm pretty sure if I went on the GB right now and asked "Hey guys would you enjoy watching the Lakers-Celtics games this season cause of their past rivalry?", 95% would say no.

Swaggy P, Kendall Marshall, Wes Johnson, Jared Sullinger, Kelly Olynck, Jeff Green aren't quite as enjoyable as Bird, Magic, Russel, Shaq, Kobe, etc.

Have you seen the game, SF88? The crowd and atmosphere in the building was great, especially in the fourth.

No I know the LAL fans were going crazy for the win. Someone even made the comment that their fans rooted harder last Friday than in some of the Finals games they have been in.

But that doesn't change the fact that a casual fan would enjoy watching the 19-38 Celtics vs the 19-36 Lakers.

what does a "casual fan" have to do anything about the Celtics Lakers rivalry? In fact, your observation in your first sentence cluster directly disproves your point.

It has everything to do with the Celtics-Lakers rivalry because BH made the comment that casual basketball fans would enjoy watching the 19-36 Celtics and the 19-34 Lakers play against each other because of their rivalry and that's the point that I'm arguing.

Who cares. Celtics and Lakers. Everybody watches, even casual fans, because they know Celtics/Lakers means something. And you can go to the "GB" all you want. Anyone who posts on RealGM is not a "casual basketball fan."

My goodness.

Return to Phoenix Suns
