I would doubt Hairston would be around at that pick. He is going in the teens I think.

If by any chance Montrezl Harrell would be available with POR pick I would really be sad if we would pass on him.

That's basically the same thing though. I guess if it's considered different then id go with the 2 years in college rule.

you can be 20 and still be 1 and done, just fail a few grades then bam your a 20yr old college freshmen, same goes for 17yr olds that graduate high school, they'd have to stay 3 years in college before they're 20

Yeah true. The point I was making though is the 1 and done rule just ruins basketball both on the collegiate and professional level. I'm glad Silver is taking the initiative and already talking about changing it.

Bogdan isn't bad at all. I haven't been too impressed with Selden though.

I'm personally against making kids go to college to take away scholarships from kids that actually want an education. Yeah, a lot of straight from HS kids bust but a lot of college guys bust too. The league greatly benefited from lengthy careers of guys like Kobe, KG, now LeBron, etc. The D-League is a nice safety net for some of these knuckleheads that aren't mature enough to hack it in the NBA, so let's get rid of this garbage.

Silver needs to get every team a D-League team

should make college free or at least make it a lot cheaper, most of these kids have debt up to their eyebrows when they get out

The players on scholarships are debt free..

Technically college players are earning whilst there, they might not be learning though.

Actually they are getting paid when it comes to eating and the free publicity they get from games on TV. Two years of legit game tape as an interview would be better for everyone.

That's the only reason kids are still going to college for a year instead of getting paid to play in Europe a la the Brandon Jennings route. College ball still does way more in the way of tv exposure so the phenoms being coddled by the big companies do more to enhance their brand by playing in the US. The more and more people watching international ball via the internet is going to be the straw that kills the NCAA's back.

I think this is the answer. Imagine if we had a D League team, and could keep the rights to guys like James Southerland, Toy Daniels, to develop and then move on up. Talented guys like Jeremy Lamba and Terrence Jones needed the D League seasoning and its done wonders for their careers.

If we had our own D-League team down here in Columbia and it had Hornets players/prospective Hornets players on it, I'd go to games.

Knicks thoroughly unhinged. Felton's arrest, sadly, might help us?

:nonono: :nonono: :eek1: I always liked Felton. Waiving a loaded gun at somebody is a pretty serious thing.
I wonder whats next for him?

We don't have to worry about the Cavs tanking hard. They are flat out pitiful, and they lost again tonight. It is looking like more and more though that Detroit isn't going to have to convey that pick to us this year.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere
